Privacy Policy

Field & Cattle Jobs is a US farm and ranch jobs directory at fieldandcattle.com. We list employment postings so people can find work on farms, ranches, and in rural communities. We also publish occasional articles on our blog.

This site does not create seeker accounts, take job applications, or store applicant profiles. Search forms send keywords and optional location filters to this site so we can show matching listings.

We host this site and its listing data with third-party infrastructure providers. Listing data includes job title, employer, location, pay, description, and a link to apply when we have one. Some listings are public job orders from U.S. government agencies. We do not send your contact form or search details to those agencies.

Advertising and cookies

On public job list and job detail pages at fieldandcattle.com, we show Google AdSense ads. Those pages use labeled Sponsored display units only. Auto ads, anchor ads, and vignette ads are off for /jobs. We reserve space so ads do not sit on top of job titles, filters, or the Apply button.

Google AdSense may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect device information, IP address, and page URLs to serve and measure ads. Google is a third-party advertising processor. We may also use cookies or similar storage to operate the site and understand traffic. Operator admin pages may set a first-party session cookie after a password login so staff can stay signed in. That cookie is not used for ads or public traffic measurement.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

On public pages we may load Google Analytics 4 and the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) when those measurement IDs are configured. They use the same Google property as the rest of fieldandcattle.com. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect device information, IP address, and page URLs to measure traffic and ads.

Those scripts load after the page becomes interactive. There is no cookie banner or consent-management platform on this site today, which matches the main Field & Cattle site. When we add a consent banner or comparable choice tool, it will appear on this site.

First-party listing measurement, described below, is separate. It does not use Google Analytics.

The public contact form collects your name, email address, message, and an optional subject. We store that submission so we can reply, and we email a copy through Resend, a third-party mail processor. Do not send passwords or other secrets through the form.

A blog post may include a cover image hosted on this site or on a third-party host named in the image URL.

Contact submissions are kept long enough to respond and to limit repeat abuse. You can ask us to delete a submission you sent.

Employer listings and payments

If you post a job, we collect the employer name, a contact name, email, phone, optional website, job details (title, type, location, pay, housing, transportation, hours, season, dates, description), and how applicants should apply. We store that listing, review it before it is public, and may email you a receipt, a notice when the listing is live, or a notice if we cannot publish it. Those emails are sent through Resend.

Paid posts, Featured add-ons, and 3-post packs are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe receives the payment details you enter on its hosted checkout page. We store an order record (amount, status, and Stripe session identifiers) so we can match payment to a listing. We do not store full card numbers.

We may check whether your email matches a claimed farm on Field & Cattle so we can apply claimed-farm pricing. That check uses an internal status lookup. We do not take job applications on this site.

Claiming a listing

If you claim a listing that already appears in this directory, we collect the email address you enter and send a one-time code through Resend so we can confirm you can receive mail at that address. We store a one-way hash of that code, a one-way hash of your IP address to limit repeat attempts, and the email on the listing after the code is confirmed. We also store a signed session cookie so you can edit that listing for a short time.

After you claim a listing, you may update the public title, company name, website, pay, housing, transportation, hours, description, and how to apply. Those edits stay on this site and are not sent back to the original job source. You may also upload photos of the workplace. Photo files are stored with Vercel Blob, a third-party file host, and the public image URLs are shown on the listing. Do not upload photos of people without their permission, or files that are not photos of the job or place of work.

Job-alert emails

You can ask us to email you when new farm and ranch jobs are listed. We collect the email address you enter, optional state and job-type preferences, the page you signed up from, the exact wording of the box you checked, and the time you agreed. We may also store a one-way hash of your IP address to limit repeat sign-up attempts.

We store that signup as pending until you confirm the address. After you confirm, we may send a weekly note with new listings that match the preferences you chose. If you do not pick a state or job type, the note can include open jobs from across the country.

Those emails are sent through Resend, the same mail processor we use for the contact form. Every job-alert email includes a link to unsubscribe. You can also use the unsubscribe control in your email app. After you unsubscribe we keep the address only so we do not email you again. You can ask us to delete the signup through the contact form.

Listing measurement

We count how often a job listing is viewed, shown in search results, and how often someone uses Apply. That uses a first-party request from your browser to this site. It does not require cookies, and we do not load a third-party analytics script for it.

We store a one-way daily hash derived from network and browser details, not your raw IP address. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we skip this measurement. These records are kept for about 13 months, then removed. We roll them up into daily counts per listing so employers and operators can see views, apply clicks, and click-through rate.

Contact

For a privacy request, use the contact form. We do not publish an operator email address or phone number.
