Needwood Farms has been a steadfast presence in the community for over 100 years. Managed by the Pry family, it's rooted near the Historic Village of Burkittsville, Maryland. Farming Practices

At Needwood Farms, cattle are raised without hormones, antibiotics, or growth stimulants. The farm focuses on environmentally friendly methods and a vegetarian diet consisting strictly of all-natural grains. The cattle, primarily Angus and Angus-influenced, are renowned for their marbling ability and tenderness. Each step in the process prioritizes environmental stewardship and animal welfare.

Offerings

Needwood Farms specializes in all-natural freezer beef packages available in whole, half, or quarter beef options. Customers can personalize their packages, selecting from various cuts and specifications. The beef is sold by hanging weight, trimmed meticulously to remove excess fat and bones, resulting in a take-home weight of about 65%. Each cut is vacuum-sealed to maintain freshness, and the beef is well-aged for approximately 20 days for enhanced flavor and tenderness.

All beef from Needwood Farms is processed at a family-owned, USDA-certified facility, ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. This local processing not only supports the community but also upholds transparency and traceability in the food chain.
