Meet the farm
Farmstore at Back Achers Farm in North Eastern Pennsylvania, managed by the Bullock family, offers organic eggs, pasture-raised broilers, and pure maple syrup. Utilizing ethical and sustainable farming practices, the farm ensures chemical-free and drug-free produce and meats. With CSA memberships available, the farm caters to both vegetable and meat/egg enthusiasts. Visit Friday or Saturday or choose delivery to Sayre/Athens every Friday.
In 1997, Sue and Alan Bullock established Back Achers Farm on 82 acres in Rome, Pennsylvania, amid the serene Endless Mountains. Initially focused on sheep and maple sugaring, they gradually expanded into produce, cattle, and poultry. When Alan passed in 2007, Sue continued the mission by launching CSA programs, supported by her son Aaron, who became a partner.
Back Achers Farm champions regenerative and organic growing practices. Their ethical stance involves drug-free animal husbandry, pasture-based shelters, and rotational grazing. Produce thrives in pesticide-free soil nourished by compost, while hens enjoy certified organic feed.
The farm provides organic eggs, pasture-raised broilers, and quality maple syrup. Their CSA memberships encompass a 19-week vegetable share and a meat/egg program to offer fresh, organic selections year-round.
Visitors are welcome at the Farm Store by appointment Monday to Thursday, and during open hours on Friday from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Access the farm's offerings at local farmers markets or contact them online.
CSA memberships offer weekly produce and meats, inclusive of member discounts. Deliveries to Sayre/Athens occur every Friday, ensuring convenient, fresh produce straight to your door.
