Founded in 2002, Charlestown Farm is a beacon of sustainable agriculture nestled in the heart of Phoenixville, PA. The farm serves as a community hub, focusing on growing and sharing great food via its well-loved Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

History

The farm began its journey in 2002 and launched its CSA program in 2003. It has since flourished, now serving around 150 member families, cementing its role as an essential part of the local food landscape.

Practices

Charlestown Farm is dedicated to sustainable farming. It employs healthy soil practices, like crop rotation and cover crops, and uses natural methods for pest management. Weeds are managed effectively with a combination of tractors and hand tools. This commitment ensures healthy, robust produce that members love.

Offerings

Members of the CSA receive generous weekly or bi-weekly shares of seasonal fruits and vegetables from late May through mid-November. Beyond these produce shares, membership offers access to a 'you-pick' garden and other local food products from partner producers.
