History

A&R Spada Farms began in 1958 as a partnership between Arthur and Richard C. Spada, combining their farming operations. The farm's origins trace back to Cosmo Spada, who immigrated from Italy in the early 1900s and later worked in logging before farming near Portland. Due to industrial expansion, the farm relocated to St. Paul, Oregon, where it now operates.

Practices

The farm cultivates over 2,000 acres in the Willamette Valley, growing a range of crops including landscape plants, seed, grain, and hazelnuts. These products are sold internationally, with landscape plants shipped to 42 U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces. The business employs over 100 full-time workers and 30–50 seasonal employees.
