About Allardyce Farm

Allardyce Farm, located in Hemmingford, stands as a leading equestrian center known for its prestigious Hunter/Jumper riding school. Under the leadership of Jamie-Lee since 2011, the farm offers an enriching environment for riders of all levels, focusing on both competitive and leisure pursuits. This 100-acre property is renowned for its well-maintained outdoor riding rings and trails, set just 45 minutes from Montreal and 30 minutes from Plattsburgh, NY.

Riding Programs

The farm specializes in providing English riding lessons across various levels, including a Pony Club for younger children and advanced training opportunities for more experienced riders. A key feature is the competitive show team, which prepares riders for regional circuits with a minimum of three weekly lessons. Riders without their own horses can still participate by leasing from the farm's selection of school horses and ponies, expertly matched to each rider's needs and goals.

Facilities

Allardyce Farm boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a large sand ring, an extensive grass ring, and an oversized indoor arena equipped with heaters for year-round comfort. There are 28 rubber-matted box stalls with automatic water bowls, three grooming stalls, an indoor wash stall, and a tack room for boarders. Students have access to a well-organized tack room for school equipment. The heated viewing lounge offers a comfortable space for spectators, complete with seating and an electric fireplace.

Boarding and Care

Boarders at Allardyce Farm benefit from a structured program, requiring at least one lesson per week with customized feeding, turnout, and training schedules. Full-service horse care is provided by a dedicated team of barn staff. Those aiming for a spot on the show team need to commit to at least three lessons weekly.

Trail Rides

In addition to structured lessons, the farm provides private guided trail rides through its expansive property. These rides are a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape while engaging with the gentle nature of the horses.

Team and Training Philosophy

Jamie-Lee and the team tailor training programs to individual rider goals, offering mounted lessons focused on balance, coordination, and technique. Taylor, the barn manager, plays a key role in the farm's operations, bringing extensive experience from top show venues.
