Overview

Living Wells Farm Equine-Assisted Services is a nurturing haven in Wells, Maine, focused on promoting well-being through interactive programs with horses. Established in 2015, the farm was born from a co-founder’s personal healing journey and remains dedicated to fostering connections and personal growth in a welcoming environment.

Programs and Services

The farm offers a variety of equine-assisted programs designed to build confidence and connection. These include:

• Riding Lessons: Tailored for beginners to more experienced riders, focusing on position, balance, and control.
• Summer Camps: Engaging activities that provide students with the opportunity to learn horsemanship and teamwork.
• Ground-Based Horsemanship: Involves learning essential skills such as grooming, leading, and understanding horse behavior.

Visiting and Participation

Prospective participants are encouraged to attend a monthly community open house, which provides insight into the farm's programs and the chance to meet staff. All participants must complete a release waiver, and parental consent is required for minors. The farm prioritizes respect, dignity, kindness, and compassion in all interactions.

Community Involvement

Living Wells Farm thrives on community support, offering numerous ways to get involved:

• Donations and sponsorships, whether one-time or ongoing.
• Volunteering opportunities.
• Partnerships with local schools and veterans organizations.

Living Wells encourages community members to donate returnable bottles at tagged Hannaford locations to support the farm's initiatives.
