Chase Farms boasts a rich history dating back to the 1600s. Situated on Merriland Ridge, this land was first tilled by Edmund Littlefield's descendants, including Samuel, his great-grandson. For generations, the Littlefield-Chase family has maintained this storied land, with Richard Chase Sr. and his son Rick continuing the legacy today.

Farming Practices

The farm raises its livestock and grows produce with traditional, all-natural methods. Beef and pork at Chase Farms are raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones, ensuring premium quality meats. Freshness is paramount; meats are cryovaced immediately upon processing.

Modern equipment aids most agricultural endeavors, but Farmer Rick occasionally combines new and old techniques, using draft horses for logging, hayrides, and select garden tasks. This commitment to heritage is also evident in their potato harvesting, done using a horse-drawn digger.

Chase Farms is well known for its selection of farm-raised beef and pork, available at their farm store. Seasonal produce, fresh baked goods, and locally sourced items round out their offerings. The greenhouse’s abundance changes with the seasons, providing a fresh selection year-round.
