History

Bell Farms Inc was founded in 1937 by Fred Bell, who moved his family from Van Buren to Lewiston, Maine. The farm has been owned and operated by multiple generations, with current leadership from siblings Raymond Bell, David Bell, Suzanne Dostie-Bell, and Michelle Bell, along with their children and grandchildren. The family's agricultural legacy spans over 80 years, with operations now covering Lewiston, Auburn, and Durham.

Practices

The farm uses conventional farming techniques to grow potatoes, sweet corn, grain corn, pumpkins, and squash. They maintain FSMA and Harmonized GAP Plus certifications to ensure food safety standards. Their farm store at 1552 Riverside Dr, Auburn, ME 04210 operates year-round, with extended summer/fall hours (Aug-Oct: 8am-6pm daily). Winter hours are Mon-Sat 8am-4pm.

Bell Farms sells fresh produce and Poulin Grain Feed through their farm store, restaurant kitchens, grocery, and wholesale channels.
