Farming Practices

Farmer Dave's employs sustainable agricultural practices, emphasizing the use of certified Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods, which include organic principles. About 95% of their vegetables are grown without synthetic sprays, ensuring a healthy, natural product.

The farm has collaborated with the University of Massachusetts Vegetable Team to trial innovative organic methods that can benefit other sustainable farmers. They also use drip irrigation systems to optimize water usage and curb disease proliferation, steering clear of GMO crops.

Offerings

Farmer Dave’s offers a range of year-round Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares, including Winter, Spring, Summer Vegetable, Fruit, and Fall Shares. These shares provide weekly deliveries of fresh, peak-flavor produce, available at various local pickup locations or directly at your workplace.

Pick Your Own

The farm features an engaging pick-your-own program at their Dracut location, inviting families and visitors to immerse themselves in the farm's verdant landscape. Guests can pick blueberries, make vibrant flower bouquets, and enjoy the open fields and fresh air.

Visiting and Buying

Farmer Dave’s main farm is located at 437 Parker Rd., Dracut, MA. Their fields are accessible Tuesday through Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM, with the last entry at 7 PM. To participate in the pick-your-own activities, advance tickets are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own flower clippers and buckets for the transport of their blossoms.
