Leo and Andrea Cakounes own and operate the largest cranberry bog on Cape Cod, located in Harwich, MA. With a stalwart commitment to organic farming for over 25 years, their 17-acre cranberry bog offers a rich tapestry of scenery and education.

Tours and Educational Offerings

Cranberry Bog Tours invites guests to explore the nuances of cranberry farming through their educational and engaging tours. These tours, offered seasonally from Spring through Fall, require reservations due to high demand and run regardless of weather conditions. Guests will enjoy a 1.5-hour immersive experience that includes an enclosed bus ride across the bog and an informative presentation in a small auditorium.

Special Features

During tours, visitors learn about the equipment used in cranberry farming and can interact with farm animals. Though current construction limits the visual spectacle of floating cranberries during the harvest season, the tours offer in-depth discussions about the cranberry farming cycle throughout the year.

Farm Stand and Products

Before and after the tours, guests are encouraged to stop by the farm stand, showcasing a delightful selection of fresh and dried cranberries, local honey made from cranberry bog pollen, and a cookbook full of cranberry recipes. The stand also offers natural handcrafted soaps.
