History

Founded in 2019 by Chilton and Katy Miller, Double Bar K Farms LLC is deeply rooted in agricultural traditions. The Millers, united in marriage since 2009, carry forward a legacy ingrained in Katy's family ranching history. Their journey reached a milestone in 2021 with the acquisition of an 80-acre farm near Ransom, Kansas.

Double Bar K Farms emphasizes ethical and humane farming. They pasture-raise chickens, specifically Cornish Crosses, ensuring access to fresh pastures daily. Laying hens, comprising Novogen Browns, contribute to sustainable egg production. Their raw milk is sourced from Jersey cows, supported by a herdshare program for raw dairy products.

The farm employs locally sourced and produced feeds, and they adhere to humane processing practices right on the farm. This commitment to quality extends to their grain-fed beef cuts and shares.
