History

Balanced Rock Farms is situated in Castleford, Idaho, and is run by Chad, Linda, and their family. The farm's journey began with a desire to shift farming practices after experiencing a damaging windstorm that demonstrated the need for better soil management. This led to a commitment to regenerative farming methods embracing the integration of poultry and livestock.

Farming Practices

The farm adopts regenerative farming techniques that include reducing tillage and using cover crops. Their poultry is raised on pasture, allowing them access to fresh air and clean water. They ensure that their chickens and ducks are fed a non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free diet. Importantly, they eschew the use of antibiotics and growth hormones in their farming.
