History

Established in 1904, Duluth Farming Company has grown from Sven Juten's original 44-acre homestead along Eagle Lake to a thriving operation that spans 1,400 acres in northeast Minnesota. The farm has evolved over generations, maintaining a strong focus on sustainable practices and high-quality livestock management.

Practices

The Juten family is committed to raising their cattle with care, using pasture-raised methods complemented by rotational grazing and grain finishing. These practices not only ensure the health of the animals but also enhance the marbling and flavor of the beef. All products are USDA inspected at certified facilities.

Alongside cattle, the farm also grows hops for brewing, and diligently works on improving infrastructures such as watering systems and fencing to bolster their livestock management.

Offerings

Duluth Farming Company specializes in Black Angus beef, offering a variety of cuts including ribeye, New York strip, and tenderloin, all known for their rich flavor and tenderness. The farm also produces beef sticks, which are transformed into zero-sugar snacks through collaboration with Old World Meats in Duluth.

Beyond beef, the farm offers unique products like their Honey Vanilla Citrus Whipped Tallow Balm, crafted using tallow rendered from their cattle and raw honey from their own hives.
