Offerings

Deer Run Farm offers a variety of products with a distinct focus on heritage breeds. Customers can buy pasture-raised heritage chicken, Red Angus beef, Berkshire pork, and pasture-raised eggs. Additionally, their on-farm store sells snacks, jerky, and all-natural dog treats.

Chicken Feeds

The farm produces specialty chicken feeds tailored to the nutritional needs of heritage breeds. The offerings include:

• Chick Starter Mash (20.5% protein): Essential nutrients for growing chicks.
• Grower Chicken Feed (18% protein): Supports growth for chicks transitioning to pullets.
• Developer Feed (16% protein): For developing young hens from 14-20 weeks.
• Layer Pellet Feed (17.5% protein): Ensures flock health and production in summer months.

Poultry and Eggs

Deer Run Farm breeds five heritage varieties: Ameraucana, Copper Marans, Delaware, Olive Egger, and Welsummer. These breeds are carefully selected for genetic diversity and high-quality breeding standards. The eggs are collected twice daily and are known for their vibrant colors and rich flavor.

Sustainable Practices

The farm utilizes no-till farming methods to improve soil health and reduce environmental impact. Their cattle are foraged raised and grain finished without hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. Buying Guide

Customers can visit the farm store every day except Tuesday for farm-fresh products. Egg availability runs from February to September, and it's best to call ahead. For fertilized hatching eggs, orders can be picked up or shipped after arranging via email.
