History and Legacy

Located 65 miles northwest of Pierre in the wide-open plains of western South Dakota, Deep Creek Angus Ranch is steeped in family tradition. Established in 1999 by fifth-generation rancher TJ and his wife Jeanine, this family-run ranch is now operated daily by their children—Dylan, Kori, and Kyler. Key to their success is a foundation in the legendary Bonnie Sivage herd, specializing in registered Angus cattle with Rito and Ambush lineage.

Cattle and Breeding Practices

Deep Creek Angus Ranch emphasizes breeding cattle that are not just structurally sound but also thick, deep-bodied, and profitable. Avoiding single-trait breeding, the ranch creates cattle that excel across many areas, ensuring long-term success and customer satisfaction. Each year, they host an annual 'Ranch Bred, Ranch Fed' Production Sale, marketing their bulls, while a select group of heifer calves is sold privately in the fall.

Cattle Services

Recognizing the diverse needs of cattle operations, they provide an array of services including AI (Artificial Insemination) services, ultrasound pregnancy checking, and freeze branding. Additionally, they offer synchronization plans, sire selections, semen sales, and represent Genex, a reputable name in cattle genetics. Their expertise in consultations, portable and hydraulic chute rentals, and electronic scale rentals further supports client needs.

Visiting and Buying

Potential buyers and visitors are encouraged to visit Deep Creek Angus Ranch to witness the quality and care firsthand. The ranch provides a welcoming environment and assurances for cattle sales are fully guaranteed, underscoring their commitment to customer satisfaction.
