The Journey and Vision

Five Star Farm Boys is more than just a farm; it's a labor of love and history. Nestled in Paonia, Colorado, the farm took seed with the dream of reviving an 1895 farmhouse. Initially overgrown and neglected, the land was gradually transformed. This family initiative turned the property into a vibrant, functional farm. By replacing outdated irrigation with an efficient pivot system, hay yields soared, leading to the construction of two spacious hay barns.

Offerings

Fresh Cut Flowers

A deep passion for gardening has blossomed at Five Star Farm Boys into a specialty in fresh cut flowers. They provide a range of customizable arrangements for events, and their flower subscription service offers early summer, late summer, or full season bouquets. These bouquets capture the essence of the Western Slope's growing season, from late May to early October.

Animal Husbandry

In addition to their floral arrangements, Five Star Farm Boys produces hay and fresh eggs. Their farrier-horseshoeing service highlights their comprehensive skill set and commitment to animal care.

Farming Practices

The farm's approach is both practical and beautiful. Establishing bountiful vegetable and flower gardens was just the beginning. Their pivot irrigation not only enhanced the hay fields but also improved the overall quality and sustainability of the farm.
