Forneris Farms, nestled in Mission Hills, California, has been a cherished part of the community since 1966. Run by third-generation farmer John Forneris, the farm has expanded from a simple farm stand to a beloved destination within the Los Angeles area. Over 50 years in operation, John has extended the reach of Forneris Farms, incorporating a variety of offerings from the staple tomatoes to luscious strawberries, pumpkins, melons, squash, green beans, peppers, onions, herbs, and flowers.
At Forneris Farms, you'll find a bounty of locally grown and sourced produce. The farm market features fruits and vegetables that adjust with the seasons, offering fresh options from March through December. Tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, and strawberries are just a few of the highlights visitors rave about.
In addition to their farm market, Forneris Farms hosts delightful seasonal attractions. Each October, families flock to the farm for the Fall Harvest Festival, which includes a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. These activities provide not only fun but also an educational glimpse into farm life. The pumpkin patch, open from October 4 to November 2, 2025, offers an entry fee experience that doubles as a discount on pumpkins priced at $10 or more.
Forneris Farms is committed to sustainable and traditional farming methods, prioritizing locally grown produce. The farm does not offer self-harvesting experiences but provides a direct connection through their farm stand. All transactions are conducted on a cash-only basis, emphasizing simplicity and local engagement.
