At Eagle View Ranch, part of the SOAR program, youth with ADHD, ASD-1, and other learning differences find a place designed specifically for their needs. For over 45 years, SOAR has provided adventure-based learning experiences that emphasize self-confidence, self-reliance, and the development of critical life skills.
Eagle View Ranch hosts a variety of summer options for ages 8 to 25, including 17 summer camp choices and one school-year course. These programs set a high bar with a staff to camper ratio of 1:4, ensuring individualized attention. The unique Llama Trek offers an even closer 1:3 ratio.
Campers enjoy rustic cabins, tent camping, and outfitter-style shelters. There are also classroom settings, a riding area, and spaces for indoor recreation. Outdoor adventure is complemented by practical amenities like a bathhouse and kitchen.
The core mission at Eagle View Ranch is to foster life skills essential for all youth, such as organization, time management, and communication. Through techniques like redirection and social autopsies, participants develop a better understanding of social interactions and personal growth.
Recognizing the financial challenges some families face, need-based financial aid is available for all courses. Families are required to make a $250 non-refundable deposit by May 1st, with full payment due the same day. Additional expenses such as spending money and potential damage fees are also outlined clearly.
While Eagle View Ranch is based in North Carolina, the program extends its reach to Wyoming, the Florida Keys, and California. These diverse settings offer unique environments for campers to explore and grow.
Pre-camp and post-camp processes involve parents through inbriefs and debriefs, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience. Trained staff handle medication administration, allowing parents peace of mind while their children are in good hands.
