Love coming here for the great cuts of meat, both fresh and frozen. They also have egg bakes that are honestly to die for. I also love that they have natural bits to buy as dog treats :)
I only bother ordering from Dianne; she's super knowledgeable and I never have to repeat myself or explain everything. It's nice to have someone consistently competent and my meat cuts are always amazing.
Honestly had a great experience here. I forgot they existed (just moved back to the Midwest). I was in need of some ground beef and not only were they helpful but also told me about a deal that was better worth my money. My husband grilled some burgers tonight for our family and we were all talking about how good the quality was of the meat! So delicious!
Note: The Woodbury location does not process full deer, only quartered up. Apparently the cottage grove location does but they only accept them until 4:30 pm. Would be nice if they had a note online with that information

Purchased a 4 lb beef chuck roast a few days ago and was disappointed. The flavor was off. We usually buy our meat at Costco but thought we’d give VH a try. Double the price per lb of Costco and quality was lacking.
Edit:: After our first visit we have had a really hard time getting anything fresh. They keep telling us to look in the frozen section. We don't buy frozen meat if we don't have to. Over half this store is frozen meat and very little fresh display. They also don't have flanken/korean style ribs and didn't offer to cut any for us when I called. Seems like a death spiral of a business to me where business wanes because of poor quality and quality wanes because of poor business.

Excellent place to buy high quality meats. The marbeling on the beef is top of the line the freshness and taste is excellent. The pork also is high quality the pork chops and ribs are delicious. The dog bones and training treats will make your dog very very happy. They are the meat shop I go too and you will be very happy too!!!!
The food and customer service here is just amazing. The woman that was working today, a busy day before Easter, made my day. So genuine and kind! It's nice to be able to still get that.

Used to go to Jordan meets until they closed....and sorry to say I am thankful they did! Started coming to Von Hansons and couldn't be happier. Ribs, steaks, jersey, in house pretzels, etc! Ribs are better then any restaurant you'll ever go to! Highly recommend!

We went to buy hamburger paties, and found more meat for the grill. The staff are real friendly and willing to show and explain how grill the meat. We have never been disappointed with any of the neats.
