Don't get a seasoned chicken breast. Looks like it came off a turkey. Imposible to cook even.

It was horrible customer service! You have someone wanting to buy ribeye steaks and you say you have 1 min were closing? Mmmmm you should probably wait 10 to sell $20 steaks! I walked out the door will never go back! I will make the drive to Pierz where they are actually good to there customers!

I used to go to Miltona locker about 35 years ago to get my venison made into yummy stuff like sausage and pepperoni sticks. They also had the best smoked bacon. I assumed that all meat lockers would have the same quality. I assumed wrong. Now I’m debating whether to throw it away or not.i don’t even want to eat any more of it. Very disappointed.turns out I did throw it away. $30 out in the garbage

I was telling a group of people about the poor service and quality custom spices we got from the Baxter store, and the review I had posted almost a week ago. What happened to my review? I apparently cant do no stars,or I would. Very disappointing.

My experience at this shop. I bring in 9 pounds of bacon to be cured and smoked. How is that when finished I get back 6 pounds of bacon. I spoke with a Vonhanson butcher in Apple Valley Minn. And he said the difference in weight wound be ounces not pounds. I called the Vonhansons shop in Baxter Mn. And they will not answer the phone. Was I ripped off?

People we very helpful, large selection. BUT..need to remark on frozen shrimp quantities. They say 31 to 40 per lb., bought 1.5 lbs and only received 36 pcs. All shrimp is FROZEN, makes them heavier.

Very nice butcher shop. Reminds me of the butcher shops when I was a kid. Good product. Gave it 4+ stars because I wanted a bit more as far as selection goes. However, it occurs to me now that had I asked they may have accomidated a request. I'll find out next time. Definitely plan to go back.

People are very nice and helpful. Meat is top notch, store extremely clean. Food fresh. Lots of seasonings to choose from. Very impressed. The Minnesota Canoe's are amazing! Easy cooking instructions.

Sent my son there with a $50 gift certificate I got at my company Christmas Party. He ordered beef sticks, ice cream and 2 RibEyes. He grabbed his bag and came home only to find no rib eyes and no receipt. Called them and they said no one left anything there. They were not at all apologetic, helpful or even remotely concerned. My son also told me they were bordering on rude and impatient while he was looking at the different meats. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone and they got my Christmas money but they will definitely NEVER get another penny out of me. I'd go vegetarian before buying from them. Sincerely, $50 quart of ice cream owner.

Little pricey but well worth it. Nice combination of classic and combination flavors. Old meat market check out service seems odd if you haven't been there for a while. Freindly staff and very helpful.

I'll start by saying normally I process my own deer during deer season. But this last season I had to rush to catch a flight to my brother-in-law's wedding. When I dropped my deer off last November I talked to the man who was accepting orders and double checked with him what I would be getting for the $150 I was paying. He stated I would get the roasts, steaks and chops the rest would be ground. I asked him for the shanks and for my ground to be cut with 20%pork fat. Finding the cuts acceptable I pulled the trigger. Two weeks later my dad picked up the processed deer and brought it to my house where I was applaud to see 2 roasts from the back legs which had been halved making them 4 total. Several packages labeled steaks and chops respectively and to my terror, 36 pounds... I typed that correctly 36 POUNDS! Of ground. After a while I calmed down but then as we have worked our way through the steaks I have found there to be no rhyme or reason to how they were cut making them cook unevenly as well as no size uniformity. I love Von Hanson's as a company and think they do a good job with everything EXCEPT deer processing. If the situation arises again in the future I will find a freezer big enough to hold my deer until I get back. 0/10 would not give deer again. Respecfully, 36 pounds of dissatisfaction

Friendly helpful staff. but when you’re told your meat package order would be ready be the end of the day. And when ya call to ask about it you don’t expect to hear they lost it and please come in to the store in the morning…. Yeah not happy hopefully this is a one time happening or I won’t do it again

Great place to grab a couple of steaks for the grill and meat stix for later at night.

Took a break from my perfectly marbled 24oz Premium Black Angus Ribeye to say that this place is the Mecca (for store bought beef). If you know of better beef please contact me because this is the best I've ever had and I have hard time imagining anything better.

We bought some pizza burgers and breakfast sausage that were very good. We also got a treat for our dog that he loved.

Great guys to buy meat from! They know their cuts and they will get you exactly what you want. Beef, pork, chicken and they even have some sides. If you're in the market for meat, come to an awesome meat market! Best part is, you can sneak next door to Morey's for all your fish needs! Tasty meat, good prices, great service. What else do you want in a meat market? LOL

Had them process a deer for us last year and are finally starting to eat some. Well shame on us for not looking at what we got sooner. Steaks cut like an inch and a half thick, irregular, fat on them deer hair also, got one small and I mean tiny package of tenderloin and a huge paper bag full of scrap not broken down into smaller units to thaw and process. Very disappointed for a professional butcher in the product we got. I took pictures just in case I needed em. Will go back to butchering the deer ourselves just didnt have the time last year and now after wasting our money and still having to do all the trimming on whats left, well wont happen again!
