THE BEST EXPERIENCE! The staff is amazing. They genuinely seem to enjoy working here. This is probably the coolest place I have ever been, maybe will ever go in the US. If you enjoy nature, this is your place. There is so much attention to detail. I really enjoy that there is maximum number of guests. It keeps everything from overcrowding and I know it is good for the land, which is so important.

Incredible food, staff and scenery. Loved every minutes and the lodging was first class! The focus on sustainability was one of the draws for us in visiting Vermejo. We will go back.

This property is simply awesome, from the vastness and diversity of the land, to the guides, service and accommodations, and the incredible wildlife. This trip exceeded my expectations. I was able to experience viewing Bison, Elk and Mule Deer, as well as the lakes and the Catskill Kilns. The buildings are beautiful.

It’s a beautiful property with outstanding service, food and activities. It’s perfect. Shed hunting was great. E-bikes were a huge hit. Fishing was spectacular. ||But the real distinction here was the service. People really must love working there based on how they relate to guests. It made the stay.

Visiting Vermejo was an unforgettable experience! The breathtaking beauty of the landscape was matched by the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone we met. Our guide, Matt, was incredible—so knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the entire trip. The highlight? I got my first cow elk—311 lbs at 226 yards! It was an amazing achievement, and I couldn’t have done it without Matt and the fantastic team at Vermejo. Highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for an incredible adventure!

We just returned from four nights at Vermejo. First, the property itself is astonishing - beautiful, varied landscapes and serene ponds, meadows, and streams, along with towering mountains and forested hillsides. They upgraded some interior spaces recently, and it shows. Our large room in Turner House was great: wonderful bed and bedding, and the building was quiet. The food at every meal was terrific, and the lodge itself has several great places to sit and relax, both inside and outside. The activities we did were a blast (horseback riding, archery, shooting sports, bison excursion, hiking). Every member of the staff was cordial, knowledgeable, helpful, passionate, and very proud to be a part of such a wonderfully sustainable, science-based effort to preserve plants, wildlife and water. It is expensive, but in addition to the lovely accommodations and food, you are paying to keep this incredible 550,000 acre property as nature intended for generations to come.

Vermejo is amazing. The wildlife-rich environment is spectacular and accessible. The food is very good and the accommodations are beautiful. Passionate, cordial and helpful staff. Pricey, but in addition to creature comforts, you are paying to help conserve a half million acres of unspoiled wilderness for future generations. We will return!

This place is the absolute best. The staff, food, accommodations and overall experience was outstanding. I travel all over and stay at the nicest places and Vermejo meets all of my criteria. The food was amazing, the entire place was clean, the service was not only impeccable but the staff was so kind, polite and they really cared. I was there for a management elk hunt and it far exceeded my expectations. Adriene, Bob, Curtis, Emily, Stone, Kelsey and certainly my guide Carlos and his father David were so amazing I cannot think of one negative thing to say about anyone or anything. I would absolutely love to go here every year. I am planning a spring trip with my family as my children would love this place as well.

Top notch place from beginning to end they really know how to take care of people and hunting couldn’t be better. It was like an all inclusive Ritz Carlton (minus the alcohol) with incredible hunting and experiences. What more could you ask for?

An incredibly special and beautiful ranch! Our family unplugged from technology and spent 5 days at Vermejo. It was the most amazing experience, with incredible outdoor activities, wildlife sightings (including bison) and some of the best hospitality and culinary dining we’ve experienced in our travels. The accommodations are top-notch and their staff make you feel so special and welcome. The guides we had for our outdoor activities were so knowledgeable and made fly fishing, archery, and trail riding so much fun! None of us wanted to leave after 5 days, and we will definitely be back.
