We loved this shop when it first opened. The quality of their products is superb--we loved everything so much that we swore off grocery store meat, and really only bought meat from here for about a year, stopping in multiple times per week sometimes. The past few months, something has changed. Every time we are there, almost everything that we want is out of stock. Basic items like chicken breast, chicken thighs, bacon, burgers, and ground beef/chicken/turkey--out of stock. One visit about a month ago, I literally left without purchasing anything because nothing was in stock. Today I tried again and ordered a "lunch box bundle" online to give them time to prep it. I planned to purchase meat also when I went to pick it up. I got a call a few minutes after I placed the order--they were out of deli turkey. No solutions were offered, and, fed up with the constant stock issues, I chose to cancel the order. This has been really disappointing to us because we like to support small businesses, and the quality of the meat really is so much better. I just don't have time to waste when grocery shopping, and it's gotten to the point where I'm just getting meat at Kroger again rather than wasting time stopping here and then just needing to go to Kroger anyway. I do hope things improve, but at this point we probably will not shop here again for quite some time.

Madison and brandy were great with their service. Prices for everything was very reasonable especially when your buying meat from a butcher instead of that meat glue and other chemically processed products from the major grocery outlets. Will definitely be coming back and the location is great right inside the downtown district. Love it! We got some.chicken breast , new York strips , and some ground beef.

First time stopping in, very friendly service and great prices! We camp nearby and get tired of paying extra at the small shops near the camper, so we drove a little further to get meat to grill. Great selection, we bought a cooler so we can stop on the way home and load up for the house!

Well. I wish I had had a better review for The Butcher Shop. Got some expired product, and couldn't get them to review the problem. Don't like to be negative for a new place in our town. This is very important to look at dates on food you are selling. If you say you will call customer about issues..please do so. I don't want this to be our last visit, especially when you buy product to take to PT Tech. in Columbus..not good for business..so sorry!! Thanks for sending a message about our visits. However I did call 3 times about beef sticks. noone returned calls. We also had some turkey that was bad too. I think the girls need to know the shelf life of product. When I called and asked they didn't know answer and said they would check and call back..just throw it out. That was 30.00 of beef sticks and few dollars of turkey. That is a loss for you as well. There is classes that train you on shelf life of product and about using gloves to cut meat and all those important safety tips. I hope it goes well for you all and learning comes with time but safety is a must. Good Luck. Thanks

I am so thankful I found this place. I've been in a couple times now and both times the staff was very kind and helpful. I've gotten some ribeyes, New York strip, bacon and breakfast sausages delicious absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend The Butchers Market. I live in another town and am happy to make the drive to come here.

We are obsessed with this butcher shop! We’ve started gifting friends and family meat from here for holidays and special occasions, and everyone has raved about it—especially the Cajun bacon. It’s become kind of our signature gift at this point! Everything we’ve gotten—steaks, burgers, salmon, bacon—has been incredibly fresh and flavorful. You really can’t go wrong here, and the team is always so kind and helpful. We’re lucky to have them in town!

We’re so glad we found this place—it’s hands down our favorite local butcher! Everything we’ve tried has been absolutely delicious, but the salmon is my personal favorite. We’ve also picked up their bacon, steak, and burgers and have never been disappointed. The quality is always top-notch, and you can tell the team takes real pride in what they do. This place has totally become our go-to for any meal we want to feel a little extra.

The steaks and pork chops are good! They have lots of great products inside. Not a big fan of the chicken. We bought what we thought was a 3-lb pack of marinated chicken breasts. Turns out, the package was the full breast of one chicken. The texture wasn't very good. The breast was also so large that we didn't like the marinade-to-meat ratio.

Really impressive selection for little old Bellefontaine. Beef sticks and cheese curds are both awesome and I’m excited to try some of the cuts of meat, which all looked fantastic. All of it is locally sourced as well, with the meat coming from Stemble’s and the cheese coming from Blue Jacket Dairy.

Picked up quite a few things from here, don't go if you're hungry (or do😉). Their NY Strips were 10/10, as were the cheese curds, beef sticks, and summer sausage. Next thing we have to try is the Mac & Cheese Brats. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing quality on meat, I recently bought myself as well as my mother some chicken and bacon try try and it was spectacular. Prices are also amazing so 10/10 will be returning again for us to try more!!
