Springfield Farm

I happily drive an hour and a half to come get chicken and meat from here. As others have mentioned, the "finest 🐔 I have ever eaten!" The eggs, and all other meats (steak, lamb, etc.) are superb. You can really tell that the owners care for the animals, and to make excellent quality products. Highly highly recommend getting their farm fresh meat and eggs and everything in-between! The area is well maintained and beautiful (a vehicle with some ground clearance is recommended however). It's a beautiful area. I still need to explore the region (breweries, hiking, etc.).

I don’t know it’s the timing or something else, when I visited the store, all meat are frozen, and some of them actually sit in the freezer over a month. How could these meat be fresh as other reviewers have mentioned?

I love, love, love this farm store! I love seeing the horses when I pull up! 🐎 The salmon there is amazing, they have a wide variety of frozen high quality meats, fantastic farm fresh eggs, jams, seasonings and treats. I'm usually in and out with the week's needs in less than 10 minutes & pleasantries are always exchanged. It's a very easy to shop store selling high quality foods with kindness. Highly recommend you give them a try Fri - Sun.

I've been buying meat and poultry here for years now and love it! Fresh local farm products from a service oriented and friendly family using sustainable farming practices. Don't support factory farming when you have a great alternative right here. Highly recommend!

Springfield sells the finest chicken we have ever eaten. And you can gets parts, including boneless or bone-in thighs. Their sausage, pork chops, and steaks are also fantastic. We buy almost all our meat and eggs from them.

Chicken wings here are better than those in Costco

We get our Thanksgiving turkey every year from Springfield Farm. Took my children there when they were young and between seasons, it is beautiful on the farm and all of the animals are free range. Picking the turkey up prior to Thanksgiving is an event, they have other vendors and products, everyone in good spirits and enjoying the Fall. The turkey always tastes great.

Incredible family - and fantastic food. We utilize this farm exclusively now for all of our grassfed beef, pastured pig products (the bacon is to die for!), and of course - pastured eggs and chicken! Prices are super reasonable! The farm store on-site is always packed full of inventory, and prices are cheaper. We usually purchase from them at our local farmers market which is right down the road from us in Annapolis. Highly recommend them, and eating local! :)

The eggs are so fresh and delicious and I learned that they don't need to be refrigerated! I had no idea. We love the fresh and frozen chicken as well. If you're trying to change up to a more natural diet, I highly recommend. Another plus is that it's a lovely drive out to the farm as well.

I have tried this farm's pasture raised chickens and eggs. I hope that their sustainable farming methods become more and more common. I will be trying a pasture raised turkey this Thanksgiving. The farm also raises beef cattle on a pasture, but I have not tried it. The farm store also carries products from other farms with the same farming practices, including pasture raised lamb. They also carry some raw milk cheeses, which were a surprise treat to find. The family that runs the store are very friendly -- always a bonus.
