Edited to say, this was at the Atlantic shore location. I apologize i didnt reslize there was more than one. Also, our bacon was very good. Just disappointed in our orher purchases. Saw the great reviews and thought we'd try it out. We purchased the balsamic Brussel sprouts which were terrible. They were so tough they couldn't be chewed. The buffalo chicken dip was plain. The service was lacking. The line was so long and no one behind the counter seemed to have it together. We stood in line for 20 minutes without even moving forward towards getting service. The place was very clean but parking is a bear. We didn't even get close enough to the meat counter to see what was offered. We were so disappointed. We did purchase bacon that I haven't cooked yet and im praying we didn't waste more money.

Wow! If you are looking for a meat shop, this is the place. They have a little bit of everything and everything looks fresh and the store is amazingly clean and super friendly staff. Just picked up some Dino ribs to put on the smoker this weekend and I can't wait to try them!. Also this weekend Black Friday they're having 20% off !

This is a really cool place. It is way more expensive than some other places around town, as long as you know that going in and don't get sticker shock everything is great. It's the only place I have found on that side of town that has waygu.

Extremely tidy and professional. Lots of cuts to choose from and over time I have encountered several employees while stepping in to pickup weekend supplies for incoming guests and every single person has been very helpful. It's my go to for meats and rubs. In fact last visit I found myself nearly at the Beach when I remembered I needed meat and drove all the way across town when I knew there were shops closer to me at the time. Worth it.

**For Atlantic Beach location** Alright beaches people, check it out. Fun couples/friends night out idea. Go to wine warehouse on Friday night for $10 tasting and snag a bottle on the way out. Walk NEXT DOOR to southern steer and get Argentine steak tips (1/2 lb a person), twice baked potatoes (1 per), and some bacon wrapped asparagus (your choosing, but a lb is a lot!). Open the bottle and cook when you get home, guaranteed to make your wife/friends’ week!

Apparently they just opened last weekend and I thought it was curious so I stopped in. I was happy to see how clean and organized everything was. Very well staffed. I'm told this is the fourth franchise out of Clearwater and Orlando areas and the first of North Florida. I was able to get some in-house burgers, four kielbasa sausages , a gigantic stuffed mushroom, and their big favorite the Argentina steak tips. Regrettably they do not sell the Argentina marinade so I will have to just find out how good it is when I cook it this weekend for the super bowl. Everything came in under $40 which was very very surprising. There is a good exotic meat butcher in this area and there is a really fantastic Pine Grove butcher which is very expensive, but southern steer butcher really fits in and a nice addition to the community.

My hubby and I visited for the first time on Tuesday August 26th. We were super excited to find a local butcher but was not sure what to expect. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. The store was very clean and had an amazing selection of fresh made chicken salad to salsa and bbq sauces and seasonings as well. Chris one of the owners was happy to help us as we chose a prime ribeye for me and my husband chose 2 Prime filet mignons. I also opted to get a pound of there fresh marinated pork belly burnt ends to cook as well. They have a variety of steaks, chicken, sausages, ground beef etc. They also have frozen alligator, short ribs and a huge variety of other meats you can’t find elsewhere as well as beef tallow. Today was the day on this holiday weekend to grill the steaks. The flavor and tenderness was a 12 out of 10. We will for be repeat customers. Also don’t for get to purchase a chocolate or Carmel bar when you are up at the register. Was so good.

Southern Steer Butcher recently hosted my brother’s birthday party and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and excited about the sausage-making process. The hands-on activity was not only fun but also educational—we learned so much about crafting delicious sausages, all while enjoying a great atmosphere. We had a blast, and the end results were absolutely delicious! Everyone got to take home their creations, making the experience that much more memorable. I couldn’t recommend this unique and entertaining party idea more. If you're looking for something fun, interactive, and delicious, Southern Steer Butcher is the place to be!

Today was my first experience here, and I can say that they’ve gained a customer! Staff was friendly beyond belief and the meat is 10/10! My husband and I grilled up some burgers they had there and steak tips for dinner and it is amazing! We will most certainly be going back on a regular basis!
