About

Smith's Price Rite is a grocery store that primarily serves the local community by offering a variety of products, including groceries, personal care items, and clothing. However, customer reviews indicate issues with stock availability, pricing discrepancies, and customer service, leading to a decline in overall shopping experience. The store aims to provide essential goods but faces significant operational challenges.

This is the closest grocery store to me, but I've had to start going elsewhere. This location has limited vegetables, fruit, and meat - although not a terrible selection. The thing that has been driving me nuts is that this location is out of stock all the time and yet, restocking CONSTANTLY. Restocking happens so often during the day that half of the store is unavailable. Between this and the online shopping carts, its too crowded to shop anymore. And still out of stock of every vegetable I need? It's just not worth it. I've tried going before work, during lunch, and after work. Restocking half of the store is going on all the time.

I’m only posting this because it’s getting worse and worse but every time I go to Smith’s now something doesn’t ring up and they pull the product up on their little device and tell me what the price is and it’s never what it actually is. It’s always more expensive it may only be a few dollars here and there, but it adds up. They also place products with certain price tags that aren’t even true for example. It’ll say for a certain ounce, but why put the wrong product there to me that is false advertising and very misleading. Now I am more careful when I’m shopping but prefer to go elsewhere now tired of dealing with it at Smiths. I’ve also noticed this location has gone downhill. The parking lot asphalt is crumbling and falling apart and potholes everywhere. They don’t even turn the lights on at night so very dangerous for elderly people as it’s pitch black out there. All the money people spend there how about they reinvest it to make the store a bit of a better experience. Also, some of the employees, their lack customer service skills and don’t even simply say hello when you’re checking out and come off rude. There are some that are actually very nice though as well it’s the neighborhood grocery store so would hope it would improve overall since it’s serving the community. Let’s do better here Kroger you raised your prices enough. How about you reinvest back into the building and community? Looking at all the reviews of the store and seeing how dissatisfied people are since Bruce left. The store 10 years ago used to be a great experience each time now it’s gone downhill over the last few years. Apparently they don’t care how people feel because no changes have happened

Apparently Smith's marketplace should advertise that not all items are permitted to be purchased through self-checkout. If self-checkout is all that is open at that time you're not permitted to purchase those items. Kind of an odd thing to do when a product is stocked and intended to be purchased by a customer but only if regular checkout is open. Staff member informed me of this and encouraged me to go to a competitor to purchase what I needed. So I will take your employees advice. I will no longer shop here and only shop at the neighboring competitors that are willing to sell me those select items. Sorry to the guy that had to put the other groceries back that were not purchased due to this unfortunate circumstance

I have a lot of fond memories here, I used to walk here with my cousins and get a courtesy cone (which I thought was the size of a normal one) When the pandemic happened we stopped those adventures. I still go here every now and then for groceries, I have had a good experience, I just don't shop here that often. As for the gas station, I tend to use other places, although their gas station is perfectly fine.

I have had the displeasure of having this be my local grocer for 5 years now. Every time I go gives me a new reason to *loathe* it. I’d give it a 0 if I could. For how outrageous some of their prices are; you would think they could offer good customer service, have inventory, or maybe offer a good selection of produce. You will find none of that here. Go to Winco or even Walmart and you’ll have a far better experience. I look forward to the day that I’ll never have to go here again because a cheaper and better option exists closer to home.

Do not shop here. You can see how lifeless their employees are, probably because management is sucking the life out of them, micromanaging and treating them like scum off the bottom of their shoe to take care of their empire. The store is stinky and makes me want to talk a walk through sewers instead of having to be there. The produce is consistently mid quality, I’ve seen moldy fruit, and the customer service is so downhill. Prices are outrageous and I’m very dissatisfied as a customer. Do better Kroger. Hire people who actually know how to properly treat their employees and run a store effectively.

Amazing store!! And guess what? They just got new shopping carts!! Low prices everyday! Thank you Smiths!

Nothing except horrible experiences here. Never going back. Constant fraud. Advertising prices in an intentionally dishonest and deceiving way that always hurts the customer. Completely understaffed. Utter disregard for customers' concerns or safety. Still haven't fixed the issues with the locking wheels on the carts after over a YEAR of complaints including in these reviews. Smashed shin into the cart after it locked for no reason. Can't wait for this place to get sued into oblivion.

I’m not from Utah but I have family living here. I loved going to this store because it had good quality products even those I wish they will offer at my hometown stores. It was a great experience and I found what I was looking fire and more!

Today I was in the condiment isle and noticed 6 or 7 Kroger brand pickles jars with the safety button popped (no longer sealed) on the lids. On the lid it states to not consumed if it’s popped up. I went and found an employee who came over and showed him which ones were popped and some that stayed down if pushed (more than one flavor). As I left the isle I could hear him popping noises from the lid. Some had dents in the side of the lids. I had a feeling he may put them back on the shelf. I circled back about 10 mins later and they were back on the shelf. I went to the customer service and told the two workers they should’ve been pulled but weren’t and some could get food poisoning or something worse. They didn’t ask me to show them they both just stood there and said thanks. I’m no longer comfortable shopping at this location since food safety doesn’t seem to be a concern for the three employees I told about this issue.

The security here is ridiculous. Everytime I checkout I need an associate to count my items because their machines are too sensitive, and the cart ALWAYS locks up on my way out the door. I get that security is there for a reason, but it's bullshit that they treat everyone like a thief.

Best customer service I have ever had at smiths today! Thank you AJ (cashier) and George (bagger) for a very smooth, extremely quick, and positive shopping experience. I believe these two employees went above and beyond today, however it seemed this was their normal day to day level of efficiency and I was very impressed.

They never have enough lines open. They have switched the the lines are so long because people self checkouthave whole carts. It takes forever. Self checkout should have 15 items or less. I usually have about 3-5 items and standing behind people that have multiple carts full.

This is a super nice store. It's huge. They have s great selection. They even have clothes and a good selection of hair care, makeup, and other personal care items.

I’ve been shopping at this Smith marketplace for over 10 years. Hands-down my favorite grocery store. I tried to make a return today on a block of cheese that I opened up and was moldy. It was not a big deal. I just wanted to exchange it. I …

Store is normally good, however when you go late at night nobody is around to help and only self checkouts are available. If you are going to run a store at that time then strive for customer service at all times.

Don't go to this horrible company. 1 they treat workers like trash, 2 if you ever happen to see behind the doors the amount of rats and unsanitary conditions the food is in in the back you'd never buy anything from here. The other problem …

This store has gone down hill. Only one set of self checkout registers are ever open, and the line to check out is consistently 15 people deep. Save yourself some time and drive to another grocery store.

I prefer Harmons over Smiths for meats. Perfect example, just bought a choice chuck roast pre-seasoned. I thought it would save me some time despite $1 more per lb. It was only seasoned on one side! What a joke.

Super clean, polite people working there, security for everybody! I love the Utah clothes, and Utah gifts we can find over there! Amazing experience over there! Thank you Smith’s!
