Yes that's a 30 pounder!!! Cooked up AMAZING - Well raised, handled and processed with care. This is my third year with these wonderful birds - I'll never go back to a petrified factory Turkey, there is no comparison. Great Job Shepherds Farm !!!
This was the first time we got our Thanksgiving turkey from Shepherd’s Farm, and it was terrific. I experimented with Food52’s dry buttermilk brine, and the bird came out with beautifully lacquered skin. Everyone commented on how moist, delicious and *perfectly cooked* this turkey was. (My family sets a high bar; my daughter and I are devoted foodies, one of my grandsons is a trained chef, and everyone else has a finely tuned palate, thanks to tasting so many made-from-scratch dishes over the years.). Ordered our Thanksgiving turkey from Shepherd's after a recommendation from Jamie at SpringDell Farm. The online ordering was easy, email communication regarding pick-up was clear, and the bird was cleaned and ready to prepare. Most importantly, everyone raved about the taste and quality of the Thanksgiving centerpiece. It was well worth paying a bit more for local and fresh turkey for the holiday.
We had a great experience all around with Shepherd’s Farm. Picking up the turkey was really easy and the farmers were so friendly! Our Thanksgiving turkey was one of the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back next year!
This was my first fresh turkey and it did not disappoint ! I was going to get a 13lb one but went the last day of pickup. There was an option of a1/2 turkey that was the target weight, or I could go a bit bigger. I ended up with a 22 pounder and boy was I glad I did!! It was absolutely delicious and there was just enough leftover to make a turkey pot pie. Everyone complimented how good the turkey was. My mom said it was "probably the best she's ever had". Thank you so much, you will certainly be seeing me again!
I ordered a 25 lb Thanksgiving turkey from Shepherd's farm. From the quality of meat to the exemplary customer service and communication from the farm prior to picking up my order I was beyond impressed. You absolutely get what you pay for when buying local farm raised animals, a delicious meal and plenty of leftovers!! My family has since raved about the delicious turkey and we are all looking forward to trying one of Shepherd's farm pork products at Christmas!
We have used Shepherd's farm the past couple of years for our large employee turkey order each Thanksgiving. Ordering and pick up could not be easier and the quality is amazing. We were not sure anyone could replace our old farm and are so happy to have found this one. Highly recommend!!
Our turkey was spectacular. We rubbed it with a butter/anchovy mixture, let the turkey drip on onions underneath, made the gravy with the drippings. Everyone said it was the best turkey they had ever eaten. We'll be back for another next year. Thank you Shepherd's Farm.
This was our second year ordering a turkey from Shepherd's Farm. It was delicious! When I picked it up, they let my son hop into the trailer to pick it out, which was the highlight of his day. We will definitely order from Shepherd's every year!
