I have been a customer of Shady Grove Ranch for 3 years and have enjoyed purchasing and eating fresh meat, eggs, and produce I know are pesticide and hormone free. I purchase on the farm and see the free range chickens. This family is deeply compassionate about providing quality foods. The beef, chicken, eggs and bacon are some of my favorite items! There is no comparison in taste to store bought.

I’ve been a fan of Shady Grove Ranch for about 10 years now, and I can’t say enough great things about this local farm. Their chicken, beef, and eggs are truly exceptional! Always fresh, flavorful, and clearly raised with care. You can taste the difference in every bite. Matt and Jerica are some of the most friendly, humble, and knowledgeable people you will meet. It feels good to support a farm that prioritizes quality, animal welfare, and sustainability. I highly recommend Shady Grove Ranch!!

The absolute best poultry and pastured pork I've ever eaten. If you are concerned about what is in your food, this is where you should buy your meat. They are completely transparent about what their livestock is fed and how it is raised.

Great farm and family. We have been purchasing from them for over 5 years and have been very pleased. We live in a world full of deception and cutting corners in the food industry, but they have real pasture raised products that you can trust for your health!

The chickens taste amazing and that’s without any seasoning except salt and pepper. And we love their bacon and sausages! We have made frozen yogurt from their homemade yogurt! And when they sale cookies so good. Matt, Jerica, Matt’s mom and Katherine are great people!

Sustainable farming at it's best. We love this family. They're good people. Trustworthy source of responsibly farmed meat and eggs. Brand new store now open on site. Great day trip from Shreveport area...also fun to visit nearby Jefferson, TX. The farm tour is so much fun and incredibly much informative!

We so look forward each month to picking up our pastured eggs and rotational pastured grass fed/grass finished beef from this wonderful family ranch! Delicious fresh eggs, ground beef and roasts. Their pork chops are fabulous, too, and we’ve purchased fresh sourdough breads on visits to their store. A true working family farm/ranch that does things right. Lovely family. Delivery to Tyler and surrounding areas once a month. So recommend!

We were searching for competition quality whole chickens to smoke for large BBQ competitions where presentation is so vital. SGR fell WAAAAY short of what we were expecting. 2 whole chickens cost us over $60 before tax. We wouldn’t even consider either chicken even silver medal quality. SGR cost us Top 10 overall at the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ Cookoff this weekend. After thawing them out and seeing the 3 major imperfections, it was too late to run anywhere to replace them in a crunch. Instead of having 4 half chickens to choose from, I only had 1. Never again. We used to use Franz Fryers but they are no longer available.
