This is a wonderful little country store. You're not going to be seeing any fancy glowing entrance here but that's what you came for. You came to this family owned business to support local and get some amazing homemade goods. Of course the primary staple is going to be the freshly made maple syrup. your choice of bottle being your typical sizes of plastic jug. They also have a smaller glass bottle that would make a wonderful gift. They also have a cinnamon and vanilla flavored maple syrup. We chose to keep those as another reason to come back another time. Along side their maple syrup they have multiple types of maple candies. The shop has a small selection of homemade clothing!! The fresh meat selection they have has the essentials. We were told that once the summer season fully rolls out that they have a larger selection of meats available including the prized Delmonico! The pricing was incredibly reasonably if not actually cheaper than what you would find at any big box store. Overall an 11/10 will definitely be visiting again!!
I visited Russell Maple Farms recently after my father raved about them for the past year. We live in NJ about five hours away but my sister lives up the road a bit. Needless to say I got a plethora of beef - bone in sirloin, bottom toast, flank, ground beef, and a few other cuts. So far I’ve made the bone in sirloin and it was delicious. I put some dry rub on it and cooked in the oven. Not only was it delicious but one steak was big enough for my friend and me! Tonight, I am making pot roast for NYE dinner and I’m so excited! I also got their fresh maple syrup and used it this morning and was one of the bests syrups I’ve tasted! I can’t wait to go back and get more. I totally recommend them.
The owner is very nice. He was helpful. Has a good selection.
