I've been going here every two weeks for so many years I cannot remember. Friendly staff, great products, great prices! We get chicken feed from them and they are always willing to help with any questions we might have. I've also had their pork products and they are amazing. Happy to have them in our backyard!
Exceptional people, exceptional products. Top of the line meat, eggs and feed among other products. You won't find a better product anywhere else. Environmentally focused, "Ancient Contract" adherent with a strong focus on quality of life for the animals. Simply the best! Their products are beyond USDA Organic which has become less organic over time. The products available at Ritter Farm are the safest and healthiest foods you can feed your family. Worth every single penny, with no additives of any sort, nothing comes fresher or closer to raw unadulterated food. It's the only meat and eggs I will feed my family and the flavor is excellent.
Interesting place. Lovely attendant to help you if you want to buy farm-raised meats or healthy feed for animals. Very rustic. Amusing animals, especially the Golden hen, who prefers hanging out with the three pigs. Really! See photos.
They carry a feed made here in Maryland, in paper bags! I will never go back to TSC for feed. They also have amazing meat. They let me meet some of the pigs and pet them on my last trip to the farm and discussed pasture management with us since we are getting into farming. I cannot recommend enough!
We buy our gmo-free chicken feed that's grown and processed right here in Maryland from them each month we buy four 40 lb bags and one game bird for our turkeys. We also buy terrific meat lamb and pork that they process themselves and raise the animals themselves. Excellent
Their chicken is excellent! It brought my ramen soup next-next-next level! The broth has strong pleasant chicken aroma and amazing pure chicken flavor. I have made chicken broth for ramen from scratch using chickens from grocery store many times but the broth never got such flavor and aroma. I also purchased a beef tongue. So I barbecued chicken meat and beef tongue just simply seasoned with salt like Japanese Yakitori style. Yes, just salt but it maximized meat flavor. Chicken meat was tender and full of flavor. Every bite/chew, great flavor and umami came from meat in my mouth. Crispy skin and aromatic fat. Oh men. Super delicious. Beef tongue was also excellent. It was tender, great beefy flavor, succulent and milky flavor. I can’t wait next shopping from them.
Very nice family owned business, very warm and welcoming. They also had a large variety of items to choose from!! Like you name it and they have it kinda place. Much better than purchasing from the grocery store. Looking forward to making future purchases.
This is not my first dealing with Ritter farm, but I wanted to say they went out of their way for me when they did not have to. I was completely out of food for my livestock and Ritter 100% took care of me. I know that they don't make a ton of money off of selling feed, so I'm even more grateful that they were willing to help me.
Such a great farm all around! If you need delicious meats, eggs, feed and fantastic service, they’ve definitely got you covered. Beyond excited to have found them!
