Family run farm located north of Lynchburg, VA. We had an awesome visit to the farm back in April 2019. The farmers, Matt and Rachel, gave us a great tour of the land and introduced us to their animals.They raise pastured chickens, eggs, pigs and sheep. They also raise turkey seasonally. Matt and Rachel use sustainable, regenerative farming practices that treat the land as God intended. No chemicals, no pesticides, no hormones, no loads of antibiotics. Just simple, natural farming. Restoration Acres Farm sells through buyers clubs, directly to consumers and at the Lynchburg Farmer's Market. Do yourself and your health a favor and support this local, family-owned farm!
As someone who has lived in this beautiful community for seven years, and supports, local, Independent businesses, I was surprised I had not bought any products from Restoration Acres Farm. I first met Rachel and her baby girl Virginia, while picking up an order off Boonsboro Road for a Great Day Gardens preorder. Then I saw her again Saturday at the Lynchburg Community Farmers Market. Her booth was next to Great Days. I had planned to make chili that evening, and was thinking ground turkey. She did not have it, but did have pork. I had not tried it in chili before. It was the best chili, and all due to the outstanding flavor of the pork! Even though I do not eat alot of meat, what I do has to be flavorful and high quality. Plus after reading Rachael and Matt's story and their commitment to sustainable farming, I am convinced they are my go to for meat! BUY LOCAL, SUPPORT LOCAL. IT IS WHAT FUELS OUR ECONOMY!
Restoration Farms' meat is excellent and is packed in sizes that fit a variety of households. I appreciate the ability to support local farming and provide high quality meat to my family. (And they provide delivery service to Salem residents in my driveway!)
Matt and Rachel are amazing people and have the best pork, chicken and lamb available anywhere!!! I only buy my meat from them and it is always delicious!!!
You can't get anything better tasting in restoration acres than their pork, chicken, turkey.
