Awesome place, me and my co-worker had stopped in when we were in the area and we could both agree that there jerky/beef sticks were worth going back again. Also very friendly staff.
This place is awesome! I’ve been buying and having my pigs processed here for 3 years and the service is wonderful and the employees are so kind and helpful. They are always will to explain any questions you have and go above and beyond ! Hope you decide to check this place out !
We had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately did not have a good experience at all. We dropped off a deer in November to get processed. We also asked them to make snack sticks, summer sausage and bacon. We had to write a check up front to cover it all in advance. We wrote a check for 310 bucks and was told that was the final bill. About a month later they called us to ask if we wanted to bring in our own venison and beef burger to mix with it so we didn’t have to pay extra. So we brought in 30 pounds of our own meat to mix with it. Month after month we called to check and see if it was done. They told us that they didn’t end up getting their own smoker so they had to ship it somewhere to get the rest of it smoked. Finally in May they said it was close to being back to their shop. It was actually back the first week in June and they informed us that we had another 296 dollar bill. When we asked what that was for they told us that because they didn’t get their own smoker, they couldn’t eat the cost of them having to send it somewhere to be smoked. They never told us that as a result this would cost us more money. We were under the impression that what we paid was the final bill as Matt had told us when we dropped everything off. I’m sure the meat will be great, but definitely not worth the hassle of waiting 8 months only to find out that we owe double what they said it would cost because of them not getting the smoker, and the fact that we dropped off 30 pounds of meat to avoid an extra charge. Disappointing.
We had 2 steers done there a few months back the meat has been full of bone chips and shards the packaging isn't staying sealed we didn't hardly get any steaks but there was plenty of buger just what I wanted from 2 prime animals ill never take anything to them again
Stopped for the first time and it looked like a nice clean store with good selection. Problem was they didn't have prices on over half the stuff. Like a lot of places now, excuses like sticker machine is broke. After 3 years their you would think they have prices figured out
Not exactly sure where to start with this one! Typically i'm not a review writer at all, let alone a bad review writer. Meat cuts were okay, other than that there's nothing else good that I can say about my experience. I brought a doe in for processing during deer season. Knowing full and well that I could expect a pretty good wait time on the return, given the volume of other deer being dropped off. I was told my cuts would be back fairly soon, but to expect a good wait on venison snack sticks. At the time I was told about Feb. I'd recieve a call saying they would be done. No worries i'm patient. About the middle of march goes by, still no word. I called Prime Cuts just to check on the status of the order, and they seem to have trouble even locating the slip. At that time I was told there would be about another 2-3 week wait on the order. Still no big deal. I waited another 2 months. I called again curious about my order. This time it seems they cannot find my order at all! I was put on the phone with the owner, who not only repeatedly cut me off while talking, but seemed generally annoyed that I was calling. Yet he assured me that they found my order slip and would have my order ready that day and if not then the following monday. I was told I would recieve a call when the order was complete. Now I have waited another 10 days from that phone call and decided to call them back once more in hopes of finally getting my order. I was told my order was ready (after some searching) then cashier continued to put the blame on myself stating they had called and left voicemails. I have been very carefully watching my phone in anticipation, and know that I didn't even recieve a call let alone a voicemail. Yet after all this I arrive at the shop to find they are unclear about their billing process and I owe them almost another $100, on top of a hefty already paid bill. All this aside they made no effort whatsoever to even explain why it took almost 8 months to make only 15 pounds of meat. After today Prime Cuts has lost a customer, but given the past 8 months i'm not sure if they even really care. I wanted to try this place being that it's closer to home for me now. That being said I have been to other meat markets in the area and have had 100% percent better customer service and lower pricing to proccess deer. Would not recomend to anyone, atleast in terms of venison.
The owners are great! Everything we have tried has been really good. But the best thing so far was the ham. We got a smoked ham and I can honestly say that was the best ham I have ever had. Thank you for helping make our Christmas meal amazing 😊 …
If I bring in fresh meat. I expect MY fresh meat back. Not your freezer burned substandard product you returned to us. WORST PLACE EVER!!!
Great meat, but. Stopped in to ask about venison processing, and was met with a firm response that they wouldn't start until after the 1st of the year. Which is fine....After calling Louie's and Butcher Shop found out it's just busy due to the deer season just getting done. I've tasted the meat market venison sticks before and...WOW...it is top quality, super tasty. Just a bit too intense or terse customer service, like they didn't want my service. If its busy, no prob, just communicate that easier. Maybe deer with deer processing their customers are wearing them out, or just caught them on a bad day. Their message was fine, just poor delivery. I brought it to the Butcher Shop. Friendly staff, they were in the same situation, but didn't require a deposit, and were much easier to converse with.
This is the best place to go! Owner does an outstanding job at putting the best product in front of you at a very good price. Very impressed!
Best ribeye I’ve had for sure! Super great and friendly service!
