Possum Tail Farm

Possum Tail Farm offers delicious fresh eggs and outstanding pastured poultry and meats. We have tried their chicken and found it to be extremely flavorful and tender. Their eggs are always beautiful, with round, dark golden yolks. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the local area who is looking for high-quality, humanely produced eggs and meat.

Definitely the way to go if you are looking for something slightly more off-grid than a park or campground. The setting is almost perfect and won't disappoint. The farm is owned by a very nice family who in turn are gracious hosts and even offer meals and a tour of their farm for an extra cost. One thing to keep in mind. This is in fact a working farm. Complete with farm animals and their various noises. While it's not a deal-breaker for most, if you don't like getting up to a farmer's alarm clock (aka a rooster...or two) this may not be the place for you. The proximity of the campground to the farm animals is pretty close so that true peace, quiet, and serenity might not be attainable in those early morning hours. When I visited there were also packs of dogs peripheral to the property out hunting both mornings we were there. Combine that with the roosters and it was quite a chorus. I will very likely visit again.

Extremely nice people to deal with and the meat is delicious. The steaks are very tender and the ground beef is sooooo tasty. This is meat as it should be done. Beautiful farm and meat was processed well. Will be recommending this place to any and all who will listen and know how meat SHOULD taste....ohhhh so good....

Great steak. Best I've ever had! Not only is it tasty, but it is completely grass fed. I would definitely recommend.

Picked up a variety of beef this week and just grilled some steak. Probably the best tasting steak we have ever made. We will be back, thanks!
