Pop’s Premium Meat Shop

Wow what a great spot! Just found this place. High quality meats, marinades, and rubs. This place has it all! Picked up 2 bone in rib eyes, couple lbs of marinated chicken, bacon. Everything tastes great! Also on Sundays they do a cook out. Community vibes! Come say hi and get quality food! Dan helped me out today and he was very friendly.

Very nice little butcher shop with friendly & knowledgeable staff. We used to get ours meats at a place in lockford however that place is no longer an option for us. Pop's however has everything we need & more! BBQs, Smokers, pellets, woods, Meats, dry aged meats, chicken, jerky, waygu, sauces, spices, rubs, marinades, sausages & they also bbq meats outside for ordering. Just a tremendous offering from a nice little store! Will be back from now on!

Staff is always friendly. Good variety of meats and marinades. Their sausages are spot on. Can be a bit on the salty side sometimes. They also carry bacon burgers (50/50 beef and bacon) and jalapeno cheddar burgers and they are delicious. Every once in a while they have authentic A-5 wagyu steaks and they have the certificate to show. Love having a local butcher shop close to the house.

So we went in on Father's day to see if we would get lucky at some aged beef. Unfortunately there's a list and they had sold out the day before. We were recommended the tomahawk steaks. We ended buying and we were not disappointed. This was some of the best steak I've ever had. You do pay a premium, but you are supporting a local business and getting the meat cut fresh for you. We will be back to try their aged beef... staff was very friendly and the business was clean...

I was told to check out Pop's. Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, I grabbed some house sausage and cooked it up. Delicious! Looking forward to trying more soon.

It's pretty rare to find stores or shops anywhere anymore that aren't franchised or part of a major chain, and even once you find one they don't always leave the best impressions. This is definitely one of the exceptions. Pop's of Elk Grove checks all of the boxes in what you'd want from a local neighborhood meat market. I wish in one review I could tell you everything that this shop is doing perfectly but I don't think I have the words for it. The customer service is some of the best I've ever had. The guys are friendly and eager to not only help you find what you're looking for but also to answer any questions you might have. They carry a wide variety of not only meats but also lines of seasonings, marinades, and rubs including house blends perfect for any occasion. You could mess around and get your chicken breast or your ground beef from a chain store but to be honest, why would you want to with the perfect selection right down the street? Stop in, see the guys, and load up for the grilling season ahead.

I’m from Redding and have been spoiled with R&R Meats butcher and fish. I’ve been trying to find a place in Elk Grove that’s a butcher shop. Drove passed these guys going to the new Safeway. I have to say: Excellent staff, choice of meats, sauces, and seasonings. Thanks guys!

I’m so happy to find them with all the grilling and smoking I do they are the b st in quality of meats and service ! They treat you great and why I keep coming back . You can buy bulk at the big stores but i rather pay little more for quality . Here is hanger steaks won’t get a better cut then this .

The owner and employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing beats shopping at a place where the atmosphere tells you they all enjoy being there. Their selection of meat is also great. If you ever want to try dry aged meat this is your place. Lastly, try the aloha sausages.
