Picket Fence Creamery

I drive an hour, regularly, to visit Picket Fence. My kids call it "the best chocolate milk in the world!". We always get whole milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, and cream. I also like to find something from the other local farmers/small businesses that they carry, whether it is wine or maple syrup. Worth the drive!

A wonderful family who goes beyond helping community when needed. Great products! Whatever you pick out of the store… they work hard to bring a awesome product to our tables and communities!

Best chocolate milk I've ever had! The ice cream is good too. Will definitely be back to try more of their stuff.

This place is so worth visiting! They do sell Picket Fence Creamery products at the local grocery store, but you should really come out and meet the family that makes these delicious dairy treasures.

Convenient location just a couple of minutes off of 4Highwat 415 at the Woodward exit will bring you to this local dairy's small store featuring milk, ice cream, cheese curds, and much more.

I very rarely give negative reviews, but after speaking with the owner about his dating problems with his milk, and his lack of concern over the issue, I decided to write this review. I purchase their milk at the Fareway Store on Grand Ave in West Des Moines. Unfortunately, the chocolate milk sours a week before the sell by date on the sticker on the cartons. I love the taste when fresh, but they add so much sugar, I don't recommend it. AE and Hiland all last to their sell by dates in my fridge with no problem, but Picket Fence starts to stink a week before the sell by date so I end up pouring over half the container down the drain; what a terrible waste of time and money. I've tried buying the chocolate milk over 30 times and I had to pour it out before we finished it probably 25 of those times. I keep their milk in the bottom right back corner of the fridge, the coldest spot, but it sours when everything else in the fridge is fine. I will never waste my money on their chocolate or strawberry milk again. This is Gatordog's 1-Star Look. This is what the Strawberry milk looks like 2-WEEKS BEFORE the expiration date. On a lighter note, Neva's Cheese Ball lasts just fine in our fridge and is enjoyed by our family.

I’m from Lincoln, NE. The first thing I do everytime I visit my friends in Urbandale, Iowa is drive to hyvee and get some of your chocolate milk. It is the absolute best tasting chocolate milk I have ever had! Nothing compares. Had the pleasure of trying some of the cupcake ice cream this time as well. Absolutely delicious!

My husband and I recently picked up some ice cream in various flavors from this establishment and I have to say we are blown away. We were drawn to how the ingredients are all natural initially, but the taste is just out of this world delicious. Any other leading brand could never even dream of comparing to the Picket Fence Creamery products. You just earned yourselves some lifetime customers!!
