Old City Acres: Farm Stand & CSA

Absolutely flexible CSA w quick response if there's ever any concerns. Multiple ways to subscribe and pay. Many options for pick up, including home delivery. I am thrilled to be able to access MANY local organic foods & products thru Old City Acres. And Alex is just a nice guy.

All of the produce is amazing! Even my toddler likes OCA’s veggies more than commercial grocery stores. There are lots of yummy pantry items as well. I always stock up on spicy mike’s blends, honey/maple syrup, and teas! Ordering is really easy and they have a lot of convenient pick up locations. Looking forward to all the produce this season. Thank you for all you do Alex & OCA staff!

We are SO grateful to have Old City Acres & their beautiful CSA box in the community. What a blessing to have the gift of eating straight from our soil & know where our food is coming from, and from whom! Old City Acres always gets my order perfect. I so appreciate having choice about either a Thurs or Sat delivery, and I am lucky to live just 2 blocks from the drop-off location in Ypsilanti (the food co-ip). I am grateful for how they draw from a number of local farmers, and thus help them too. Buying locally is a big priority for me — to help diminish climate change by reducing the amount of fuel to bring me my basic needs. Often I receive the kind of picture perfect vegetables one expects in a store, but I am really grateful when I get some crazy-shaped or huge roots and apples that have blemishes. These are just as good, yet I bet many farmers couldn't otherwise sell them. The online purchasing system works great, too!

I love this CSA! Alex is great, and I love being able to pick what I need every week, instead of having to figure out what to do with a large box of produce. Also enjoy that I can get things most CSAs don’t carry like tea blends, popcorn, olive oil, etc.

So grateful to have access to fresh local veggies (and more!) through this CSA. Ordering is simple and pickup is convenient, too. I especially appreciate that I can select which items I want each week and skip a week if needed. Credits never expire & you can just renew whenever needed. Keep up the great work, Old City Acres!

I've had a super positive experience with Old City Acres! I joined specifically because of the flexibility to select my items each week or skip entirely. I've found that I also like the convenience of ordering local produce all year (as an alternative to shopping at a farmer's market) at a pickup time & place of my choosing. Alex is doing such great work!

In comparison to other CSAs that we know about from our experience and friends, this one is better because it’s flexible—you get the vegetables you want when you want them. In addition, Alex is personable, has a social conscience, and makes our orders convenient to pick up.

Easily the best decision we’ve made in 2024. Their produce is consistently good quality and they have great variety. They even got us on microgreens!! Truly cannot recommend enough.
