Recently moved to the area from Lake Merritt. This is the best neighborhood bodega I have lived near in the 6+ years I have been in Oakland. The meat counter makes a damn fine sandwich for $5, the beer selection is great, and anything else you might need in a pinch they have as well. Super friendly folks running the place as well.
Northside Meat Market has a great quality of meat. Their meat is the perfect color and the prices are really reasonable. My only dislike is that they close early.

I always get my meat package from here. And if you don't want whats in the package you can get something else. The do except EBT
Tried to ask for information on the phone, the guy just hung up. After calling back, he said he couldn't understand, didn't want to help and hung up again.
