Over the last few weeks I had the wonderful fortune of sampling several cuts of beef from North 36 Farms. These cuts delivered a remarkable dining experience that exceeded expectations. The filet mignon showcased a stunning deep red hue and subtle marbling. Prepared using my sous vide and a quick sear, the result was a masterpiece of tenderness. The texture was buttery, with a delicate yet satisfying bite that required no knife—perfectly medium-rare throughout. The flavor was clean and beefy and paired well with a red wine reduction and mushroom sauce. The second cut was a ribeye, grilled over hickory and mesquite. The fat rendered beautifully, creating a caramelized crust that locked in juices, while the interior remained a juicy medium-rare. The marbling delivered a robust, beefy flavor. The texture was tender yet had a slight chew that balanced the intensity, offering a hearty contrast to the filet. The meat seemed very agreeable to the smoke and seasonings. Last was the flank steak. We marinated it in a mix of soy sauce, lime juice, and garlic, and grilled it hot and fast to medium-rare over charcoal. The result was amazing - flavorful and structured - the perfect cut for our tacos. Across all three cuts, North 36 Farms beef impressed with consistent quality. The marbling was well-balanced, enhancing flavor and juiciness without greasiness, while the tenderness varied appropriately by cut—luxurious in the filet, hearty in the ribeye, and firm yet manageable in the flank. For anyone seeking premium beef with a story, North 36 Farms’ beef does not disappoint.
I highly recommend North 36 Farms. My order was packed with care and I received it in great shape. Now on to the most important part. The beef is so tender and delicious, we used one of the dry rubs that came with it. The marbling was just right. I am going to explore more of their offerings in the future. So many levels above what you get in a store. 💯 recommend.
The best steaks we have had in ages! I quit buying steaks at the grocery because I didn’t care for the texture of the meat. North 36 steaks tasted like beef used to taste! I highly recommend their meat. It tastes great, has authentic texture, and is grown with care.

We just cooked our first meat from North 36. Flank steak for traditional Chinese stir fry and stew meat, using regular circulation recipes. Wonderful...satisfying. The taste experience was most distinctive, I felt like I was really tasting meat and it was great. Incredibly tender and just-right marbling. They are paying very careful attention to the process of meat production and you can taste the care.
We’ve recently discovered North 36 Farms in our quest to only eat local beef that is hormone-free and ethically raised. Their ribeye steaks showcased perfect marbling and exceptional tenderness while the ground beef made for truly outstanding burgers - juicy, flavorful, and satisfying in a way that reminds you what beef should taste like. Knowing exactly where our family's food comes from and how it was raised gives us tremendous peace of mind…strongly encourage others to think about what they eat and make North 36 Farms a part of your family meals
Stock your freezer asap! We just grilled two dry-aged filets and two NY strips to enjoy with vegetables, potatoes and our favorite bottle of Cabernet. The North 36 meat was so incredibly flavorful with only salt and pepper used as seasoning, and so easy to slice. You won't find meat this tender at your grocery store or, honestly, even the best butcher shop. I love that North 36 is locally-sourced, high quality, free of hormones and antibiotics and, most importantly, tastes delicious. It's also super convenient that the meat comes with each piece individually wrapped and labeled (with the cut and weight) in what is like a vacuum-sealed, leak-proof packaging. Very impressed!
We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a cut of North 36’s dry aged ribeye for a cozy evening at home. We really wanted to taste the meat without distraction, so we simply basted it in butter and rosemary. Oh my word—soooo delicious. The texture was perfection and flavor full-bodied. It’s the kind of steak you’ll come to crave.
We got two of the Dry Aged NY Strips, and I could immediately tell that these steaks were going to be fantastic just from their color alone. We did a reverse sear on them, and they were probably the best steaks I've ever cooked! Extremely high quality and super tasty. Will definitely be getting more soon!
