Carrigan Farms Strawberry Patch is a part of the Carrigan Farms family, a 5th generation family-operated farm located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Since its establishment in 1902, the farm has intertwined its history with the local community, offering fresh produce and engaging activities that honor their agricultural tradition.
Under the expertise of Doug Carrigan, a horticulture graduate from NC State, and with the dedication of William Carrigan, a 6th generation farmer, the farm specializes in sustainable and no-till farming practices. These methods not only produce quality fruits and vegetables, but also ensure that the land is maintained and improved for future generations.
Each spring, Carrigan Farms features a U-pick strawberry experience, running seasonally from mid-April through late May. Patrons can also enjoy other seasonal activities like apple picking in September and pumpkin picking in the fall. Beyond produce, the farm hosts a variety of events, from weddings to educational field trips, and offers farm-to-table catering services.
Located just 30 minutes north of Charlotte in Mooresville, NC, Carrigan Farms is easy to access for a day trip of picking and exploration. Reservations are required for certain activities, such as apple picking, to ensure a quality experience.
