My first experience at this store was disappointing, to say the least. My family has been talking about how great this store is so I went with my dad to check it out, but the service was poor, unfortunately. The store itself was clean and organized. Everything is fresh and sourced locally so that was awesome! However, we did come in at 3:30 to order 10 BLTs (yes, I know that is a lot and there was another customer that ordered BLTs after us), but there were 3 employees there (No adults). When we ordered the sandwiches, the first thing out of the young lady's mouth was "Are you serious?" There was no greeting or smile at all, more of just the feeling that we inconvenienced her. Then she proceeded to say that they were out of stuff. I suggested that we order something else if they were out of stuff and she stated, "I just need to slice tomatoes, and we only have wheat bread. So, essentially, they weren't out of anything, and the bacon was just needing warmed up before putting the sandwiches together. We said, "Ok, that would be fine." When asked if she was ok, she stated it had been a long day which I understand. We all have bad days, long days, good days, and everything in between, but I was taught that the customer should not see that. A store can have great food, but poor customer service will ruin it every time. Before we left, the young man shared that we could call ahead and place our orders, in the future. We said thank you for letting us know and that we would do that. He and the other young man were polite. Because of this experience, I couldn't really enjoy all that your shop offers.

We are so thankful to have this butcher shop in our community. We are front end and back end customers. Every time we drop off our animals the staff and owner are patient with us and respectful to our animals. The holding facility is always clean and calm. Packaging is top of the line. Every package is carefully sealed every time whether it’s a whole cow or 1/2 hog. The front of the store has a great selection of local goods! We rarely leave without our favorites, cupcakes in a cup and Oberweis lemonade! Keep up the great work! Maxwell Meats!

Locally Owned and operated. Brad the Butcher has been in the business for over 30 years as a butcher. They offer the freshest meat in town! They carry beef, pork, chicken, seafood and Boars Head Meats and Cheeses. They have delish home cooked Daily Specials and 2 for $7.00 BLT Friday is the best! Customer Service 10, Friendly Staff 10, Great Deals 10, Amazing Taste 10!!

We love the fact that it is local. There are only 2 of us so we don't have to buy a lot at a big store we can buy what we will only eat and fresh. Can't find places that carry sliced jowl bacon and Brad has the best reminds me of Sunday breakfast with my dad. We also make our own dog food and they have dog food that we fry up for our dogs. GREAT PLACE.....if you want the same stuff but only in dinner/served from go to his restaurant Farm to Fairway @ Hawktail the golf course in Greenfield. SOOOOOO good too.

This is my go to for great tasting meat and a wonderful selection of stuff. Definitely getting ur $ worth and pricing is excellent for the quality!

Great little meat shop! Get the smoked sausage, you won't be disappointed! Wish they had lamb chops more often but otherwise they have a great selection of fresh and frozen. A little pricey but with most anything worthwhile food wise, you get what you pay for.

The best BLT you will get, 2/$8 and they are HUGE!!

Quality is fantastic and their specials are always delicious! I also have used their deer processing services several times and you can’t beat the quality and service!

This place has the best meat, love going there to buy our weeks my eat!!

Krystal and the team at Maxwells are so awesome! We have meat processed here monthly and the products and service by far beat their competition. I highly recommend Maxwells!
