I am beyond happy with my experience in using Matt’s custom meats! I brought them an elk during the middle of the season and even with as busy as they are it was done in under a week. And it is delicious! You can tell that care was taken to keep everything very clean. Packaging is superb. The jalepeno cheddar sausages are the best I’ve had and well worth every dime. I was a little nervous at first as in the past I have always taken the time to cut up and process my own animals but no more! Matt’s has exceeded my expectations and I will be bringing them all of my game from here on out. Thank you Matt’s!

Very disappointed with what will be my last attempt at doing business with Matt. Brought in two nice mountain whitetail bucks, only to get back a hair over 30 lbs of burger and 20 lbs of sausage. Matt then claimed I brought him “two little does” and went on to try and mock me when I told him no it was two bucks that three guys hauled out over 3.5 miles from the trailhead. They shorted me an entire deer. Steer clear.

Customer service is friendly and direct. Not alot of useless conversation. I like that. I killed my bull elk on Thursday and they had it cut, wrapped and frozen by Saturday morning. Thank you for the great service and price. I'll be back next year.

Awful experience here. We got the most rancid meat back. It stunk up the whole house so bad cooking it we had to hangout outside while it aired out. Have been growing my own beef for 10 years and never gotten one back that was so horrible. Definitely wasn’t our beef. Got some old range cow and they kept our beef.

This jerky was the worst jerky I have ever had! The teriyaki sticks had no flavor and the jerky was so dry I had to take a break and rehydrate. I would never recommend Mike's custom meats to anyone when it comes to jerky and teriyaki sticks!

I just got off of the phone with Matt's Custom Meat Inc. I'm so disappointed! I was looking forward to shopping for my large household with only 2 leads on where to source. As we were wrapping up our lengthy call, having addressed all of my questions and planning the woman speaking told me I had too many random questions and acted offended. She huffed impatiently and asked if I was shopping them for a buisness? (no clue what that meant) I asked if I had said something wrong? I informed her I had never sourced a steer before but had always wanted to. Her answer was again that I had too many random questions. I said I would be happy to buy from someone else if she wanted me to, and waited. She said, "okay" and we hung up. WHAT is going on?! I'd give zero stars of I could. Good luck!

Been to a few different processors and haven't always been satisfied. Gave Matt's (Jackson location) a shot last year on my deer and elk and everything turned out great. Prepared my cuts exactly how I like them and sausages/sticks are great. Price and timing was very reasonable.

I'm only giving this buisness one star because it's as low as it goes. My family bought half a cow from another member of my family that has many cattle. Someone else bought the other half of ours. Once it got to Matt's though somehow the brisket isn't part of half the cow. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from them on my brisket they said I didn't request it. Every butcher I have ever used asks if you want the brisket or they just give it to you. Not Matt's though. The brisket wasn't even brought up in the call when they reached out for my preference. And now since I didn't request it they didn't put it in my pickup. Long story short, if you go hear they will probably keep the tasty cuts.

I always get great service from both locations. They do a great job with labeling & packaging of my elk. I love there elk sticks i couldn't get out hunting the last two years so I bought some elk sticks from them and they are delicious I highly recommend them

*I went to Matt's place in Jackson.* Great experience! He processed our entire buffalo in 48 hours (no extra charge for the rush even though there were a lot of other buffalo brought in that day). Steak, roasts and ground buffalo were all clean, vacuum packed and well labeled. Very nice guy who even gutted the thing for us at no extra charge (I had it off the Elk Refuge and to his place in 10 minutes - why gut a buffalo if you don't have to right?).
