Well-priced (for organic) neighborhood butcher with a long-time in operation feel. Extensive meat and poultry section, along with broth and marrow bones, tamales, sausages and housemade stock. Kind and friendly service.
Everything is great except most of their workers don't know how to cut prosciutto; neither San Daniele nor Parma. I've been going there for over a decade and only once or twice they made a good job. Almost always too thick and too much outer layer, or too much waste. when I tried with more detailed suggestions it went nowhere and I didn't want to be nagging so I stopped going. Maybe I have too high expectations having being raised in Parma, one of the main prosciutto producers, but I wish they could do better since I live nearby, and I can't bring prosciutto in my suitcase when I go visit back home.
Decent deli sandwiches made from high quality ingredients, like Fra' Mani salumi.
I've been going to this place for years and when looking back it is really going downhill. The chicken quality is average. Could do more in their presentation of the meat in the display. Whole store needs a deep cleaning and a coat of paint to improve shopping experience.
Wonderful location for natural and organic meats. The rotisserie chicken and BBQ ribs are truly excellent ! Staff are friendly and helpful.
I have been coming here for a few years and I am always treated well. I ordered a couple of grass fed steaks the other weekend for a cookout and the meat was so tender and juicy everyone went back for seconds. They just never miss! A wonder gentleman named Carlos helped me pick out the cuts of meat for what I wanted to cook (i did not know the difference lol). Love supporting local businesses !
Spent $40 on a prime steak, only to find the meat was too old to eat when I got it home. Now that I think about the entire case of meat looked old. The entire place needs a deep cleaning. Not going back. :(
This is an amazing family business. Small local shop that has everything you need. From chicken for my dinner to family barbecue. They carry organic Rosie chicken and grass fed steaks. Very clean and nice business. Definitely recommend stopping by!
Great butcher, you can get pretty much anything you want and ask for any specific cuts or preparation of the meat that you need. They have everything from chicken to pork to beef, everything you would expect except for fish. Fish can be gotten two doors down at the fish market.
The sandwich was terrible 12.99 for a poorly made salami sandwich, very dry barely any mayo or mustard on it, the bread was so dry i choked!!! To be honest I tasted a better sandwich for $3.50 at a gas station... never going there again...
