Legacy Acres Farm & CSA

Jaime and Jason go out of their way to make the CSA experience work for all the members. I know I was not easy to service, since I was unable to use their established delivery schedule/locations. They met me at off times, and made arrangements with another member to drop my orders off at others. I so appreciate their willingness to work with me to make it possible for me to participate! I loved the fact that the weekly deliveries prodded me to break out of my culinary routine and try new things, or find new ways to use familiar items in our cuisine. It is great to get out of your rut, think outside the box, and get creative. Tasty, too! The fresh eggs and chickens were a real treat, and since I use quite a bit of both, fit our lifestyle and preferences well. And I didn't have to wonder about where they came from and how they were handled - I have been to the farm and seen it firsthand! For anyone who did not take advantage of the pork option at the end of the season, I strongly suggest you correct that omission next year. Amazing flavor and tenderness - unmatched by anything in the stores. I had my ham smoked, and it was a family hit at Christmas, not to mention the bacon, sausage, and chops, which were incredible. I have serious concerns about the growing and handling of our food, between the chemicals, preservation techniques, bacterial contamination from bad fertilization practices, shipping...the list goes on. Legacy Acres gave me a great way to feed my family with locally grown, safe alternatives, and I truly appreciate all their hard work. I was raised by farmers, and have done some serious gardening myself, but, currently, do not have the space to do so. It has been wonderful to find dedicated farmers willing to do it for me! We purchase and have witnessed in person their free roaming, happy living, healthy chickens and other farm animals. We have enjoyed their beautiful tomatoes and anything else we can get when they are at Norwalks Farmers Market. Their eggs are delicious!! We highly recommend any of their produce and encourage anyone to support this local honest farm!

Legacy Acres CSA really helped my family and I incorporate different kinds of veggies and things into our daily lives. I love that they deliver straight to my door. The portions are of good size for a family. Their lettuce and peas were AWESOME!! The eggs were delicious! They offer add-ons every week that are also worth it! Love my farmily!!

Having fresh, farm-to-table, poultry, eggs, veggies, fruit and many other products is such a breath of fresh air amongst the industrialized food market. The fact that my husband and I can work at the farm and see the process makes it that much more rewarding. We know the chickens the eggs come from! We know the farmers that planted the produce- (and they are awesome people!) Knowing my products are pesticide/cage free & truly organic is a huge plus!

Love their open range chicken. Made an awesome soup. I love knowing exactly where my food came from and that it was properly and lovingly cared for in life.

I love getting my eggs! The delivery is such a nice bonus. Thank you so much for all that you do!!
