Lazy Butcher - Meat and Provisions

Got some BBQ for picnic and the brisket has absolutely no flavor at all. Worst BBQ I’ve had in my life. No BBQ sauce for the brisket. No napkin for the take out. No fork for the potato salad. The staff was really friendly though 👍🏻

First time in Colorado. We only came for a quick l, first time skiing trip. We had a blast. The Lazy Butcher is a nice, laid back, chill-type restaurant and lounge. You order your food at the counter soon as you get in and then you get a number and take a seat wherever you'd like. The food comes out to you. All the staff was nice and friendly. The food came out pretty quick but was lukewarm. It wasn't hot at all. We were surprised at that because it wasn't busy. My husband had chopped brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese. My teenagers had the same except one has a wrangler smash burger with Mac n cheese. They all enjoyed the sandwiches but said the Mac n cheese was creamy but dry. Me and my youngest shared ribs and tallow fries. The fries would've been way better had they been hot and not as if they'd been sitting for 5 minutes. But my daughter loves McDonald's fries and said they taste like those so she was excited. She liked the ribs as well. They were very flavorful ribs and tender but not falling off the bone when you pick them up, which was great. They weren't too smokey or charred. I ordered an old fashion at the bar and the bartender sorta forgot about it and brought it out when we were almost done. He apologized and gave it to me on the house. It was full of whiskey! That was my first time ordering that drink. It was good...a little sweet, a little orangy, a lot of whiskey. It had one huge square ice cube which I liked because it didn't water down the drink. Overall, it was an okay experience and nice place to eat in the Evergreen area.

When I travel to a new place, I like to try lamb chops. The lazy butcher did not have lamb chops but they did have ribs. Let me tell you they were mouth-watering fall off the bone good. I had the two meat two sides plate. The portion size was great. Did I mention there were some of the best ribs I've had? I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Only been to the butcher side 2 times, so I will update this if I eat at the restaurant. I would say the quality of the meat 7/10 Which is quite good but the prices are a bit crazy. It’s around 20% more than some 10/10 butchers down the hill. While I appreciate having this local it’s not going to be worth the cost/quality for me.

This place is delicious and the owners are so present and personable. The burgers and brisket sandwiches are favorites of ours. There is plenty on great indoor outdoor seating for meeting friends. And their provisions store has a great selection to take home great fresh from their farm butcher cuts, cheeses, pastas, and sauces for more delights to enjoy at home.

I’ve never had something I didn’t love here to eat. If you haven’t already, you have to try the hatch chili cheese curds, delicious! Great staff and atmosphere. Also love that they sell the meat and other items to be able to make at home, we only go here when buying something to put on the smoker!! Thank you for chosing this location to setup shop as we needed a great bbq place up here.

Wanted to order 1 of everything on the menu. Went with the half beef half bacon burger and it was fantastic. We live down in Denver but will be making trips back to Evergreen just for thia restaurant.

This review is only for the butcher side. They had very little available, I think only 3 cuts of beef, a single rack of pork ribs and I think some pork chops. I say “I think” because nothing was labeled and no prices were displayed. After asking the gentleman behind the counter what I was looking at and how much it cost I was given a confused and annoyed look. What I was told was “filet” and after searching the price in the register for a minute told it was $48/lb. It looked great but nothing like a filet mignon so without any idea what it was exactly, I decided to not irritate the individual behind the counter any further and just pass. I’ll probably give them another shot at some point but this isn’t a fraction of the butcher shops I’m used to.

Amazing food, friendly staff, and great environment! All the bbq by the pound is great and you definitely have to try to tallow fries!

Decided to stop in on a whim as we drove through. Our waitress Claire gave excellent service and the food was good. I recommend the corn bread!

Great smoked meats! Was in town from Georgia visiting my brother and Nick hooked it up! Great food and service. Will make a point to stop by next time Im up in them there hills!

If y'all ain't check this out you definitely must! Just put in a new 12 tap system with great beer and wine and other stuff. Brisket is awesome and whenever the burnt ends come out they are the bomb!

Whether you’re grabbing the best cut of steak available in Evergreen at the butcher or sitting down at the restaurant, this place never disappoints. All staff, especially Nick, are extremely kind and hospitable.

Greasy food and rude service. I appreciate dining out and rarely give negative reviews, but The Lazy Butcher is that bad.

This place is amazing!!! Seriously good burger using ground angus beef and bacon ends! That's right, every burger has bacon ground in it! I got mine topped with brisket and it was definitely worth it! HIGHLY recommend this spot! 10/5 stars!

Great butcher shop. I bought 2 tomahawk steaks Saturday. They were absolutely amazing and all the guys were awesome. I also received some of their beef tallow. Don't sleep on these guys.
