My wife and I recently attended a Farm to Table Evening Event at the Land Basket Farm in Russellville, TN. Hosted by owners Kevin and Cathy, approximately thirty participants enjoyed a meal comprised of farm raised natural meats including lamb and pork dishes. A local catering firm provided the talented Chef and his service assistants to deliver a quality and tasty culinary experience, including a cooking tutorial highlighting the preparation of the lamb appetizer to kick-off the event. The dinner venue primarily provided a glimpse into farm life at Land Basket, where fresh chickens and natural eggs abound along with the aforementioned carnivorous bounties. An intimate table setting situated amid surrounding grazing parcels offered a picturesque, cozy atmosphere encouraging social engagement among the guests. A fire pit gathering of post-meal loungers rounded out the evening… Kevin and Cathy offer an opportunity for Farm to Table guests to learn more about the high quality, naturally raised products marketed by their farm. Having personally enjoyed their amazing chicken and fresh eggs recently purchased at a local Farmers Market, coupled with their wonderful dinner event hospitality, we highly recommend their natural and delicious food products for your health and dining pleasure.
I looking for a farm for my kids to do a tour on short notice and on off season. I called and Kevin was so nice and said to come on down today. Cathy and Kevin gave us a tour of thier beautiful farm. They showed the kids where eggs came from, and they were able to hold a chicken and collect thier eggs. They fed the ducks too. We also got a tour of the cute farm house. We baught some delicious lamb steaks, lamb brats, and fresh eggs. Everything was amazing from the moment we met Kevin and Cathy and to the night I cooked up the lamb for dinner. We will definitely be back again.
Amazing people! Have gotten fresh eggs, different types of meats, pickled eggs and I have never been disappointed!! Highly recommend Land Basket Farm!
