The sign says "Since 1917" and it looks like it. But in a pleasing, and very rustic small town way. The employees are very nice. I bought the sliced smoked turkey, which was awesome. And their dried beef and pork sausage is very, very good. And it's several dollars less than any of the well known places that are directly on I-10. The steaks and pork chops looked great, and one of the customers told me they are very good. I'll be back!
Family Owned Meat Market. Known for its Sausage, but have tasty meaty bacon and seven steak. Good first come first serve service and pre-order pick-ups. Nice friendly staff.
Old fashioned meat market, family owned and friendly staff. We buy about 90% of our cheese here and ALL of our bacon. The smoked pork loin is one of my indulgent pleasures. Very busy on the weekends with out of towners.
My husband and I drive an hour and a half to get our meat from Kaspers. Today we got a great deal on beef and pork as well as dried sausage and cheese. They offer family meat packs for a wonderful bundle price and their price per pound cant be beat! Unless you slaughter and process your own meat you won't find fresher than Kaspers.
Took a trip down memory lane and stopped to buy sausage at Kasper Meat Mkt in Weimar, Tx. Alas, everything must change. The storefront has aged quite a bit and needs a lot of TLC. Hence 4/5 stars because of first impressions. But, as soon as I stepped inside, I was back in 1961, coming home to Weimar with Granny to buy her beloved sausage! That smoky aroma took me back 60 years! The staff was chatty and enjoyed hearing my tales of days gone by eating “Weimar sausage”. I’m happy to say the product still satisfies the palette. Is it the same as back in the day? Well, maybe not, but it’s still as delicious as I remember! If only I could have bought more…,
Fantastic quality, prices and people. Beautiful cuts of fresh meat. Weimar sausage is a must have. Got a little of everything. Deer, chicken, beef, jerky, roast...oh so happy. Many thanks to the Kasper family.
