They have the best selection of different flavors of sausage, brats and snack sticks. I stop everytime I go to see my daughter in SD. This last time I decided to try out the brats. I just tried the sauerkraut brats and let me tell you what. They have an awesome sauerkraut flavor to them along with one of the best textures I have ever had for brats. Way better than anything else I have tried. I just wished I didn't live 6 hours away.
I should not be posting this... Best Bacon in the World... let me repeat that... Best Bacon in the world... Two State Grand Champions in the Double Smoke and Hungarian... But the Raspberry Chipotle Bacon is Heavenly. I have Friends that are hooked to the Mexican Bacon. My mom loves the Cinnamon bacon... Bacon Bacon Bacon I have other Twin Cities friends stop there strictly for Meat sticks. I need a dedicated Fed ex truck just for this place
We purchase all of our meat from Jorgenson Meat Store. They have quality meat and at a decent price. Jorgenson Meat Market is now inside the Purple Cow. The people that work in the Purple Cow are very friendly and personable. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to buy quality meat. When you are inside the Purple Cow buying meat, try some of their delicious ice cream.
I travel 4 hours JUST to buy their bacon and sausages! Can't wait till the weather is better, so we can take pictures and get our 15 pounds of bacon!
From South Dakota, lived in Des Moines and would still get our bacon from Jorgenson’s. Now we live in Kansas City and yes, we still get our bacon all the way from Waubay...it’s fantastic!
