9/23/17 The stew meat which Heebner's cut for me at the farmer's market in Wayne was of a quality I had never seen/tasted. Yes, I paid more per pound than I normally do, but it had zero gristle, it was tender and so delicious. Absolutely worth the price. I've been making this same recipe for years, but going forward I will make it only with stew meat from Heebner. It was SO much better than Whole Foods, or any of the other supermarkets.

Heebners is beyond the best! Yes, they’re expensive BUT you get what you pay for! We all know that in life. The Farmers Market IS expensive and we all know that when we decide ahead of time to shop there. There are no sales here. Just the best meats I’ve ever tasted in my lifetime, and I’m no spring chicken. If you want cheap meat, go to a chain grocery store. But I guarantee it won’t taste or even look like Heebners fresh and fabulous meat! I buy all of my meat there with no regrets. Try the filet mignon. Fork tender. I don’t even set my table with knives 🙂 The ribeyes (my favorite) are insanely good! And I have to order their Italian hot sausage a day early or it will be sold out in no time. I’m not only a decades-long customer of Heebners, I’m also a fan!

Good quality meats, but extremely expensive. 29 dollars a pound for rib eye steaks, 20 dollars a pound for skirt steak.

Best veal chops I’ve ever purchased. Always tender.
