I've searched for a while for someplace that would make and smoke custom sausage (to recreate a family recipe). I finally came across Illetschko's online. Mike was very responsive in answering my email questions. I provided him the spices and they made and smoked 10# of sausage for me. It came out great and we will definitely make more in the future. Their steaks also look really good (we did not try any this time). Location throws you off, at first (on a residential street). But I like the fact that both times I have been there, I have seen groups of neighborhood kids leaving after having bought something.
3/5 stars for good product, but store looks run down to the point of neglect, made me want to walk right back out. Wouldn't recommend personally, but at least the product was decent but expensive.
Small local butcher shop. If I had been able to give them a 4.5 rating I would have. The only criticism I have is the oxtails I bought should have been trimmed better. The prices are about average. The smell of the smoking meats made me want to fire up my grill 🤤 …
Awesome market and great people. Seriously I love the tucked in neighborhood vibe. Absolutely worth making your way there. My favorite items are the snack sticks and potato sausage but their beef cuts are great quality as well. Sticks are by far my go to and I’m very picky on them. Jalapeño cheddar elk sticks are my favorite but if they don’t have them the beef jalapeño cheddar are still phenomenal. Don’t be mad if they don’t have the elk sticks every time. You can always call and ask if they are on hand or when they might anticipate having them BUT REALIZE THEY GO FAST!!! And don’t be mad at them. I really look forward to the next time I can bring my wild game in so they can process also. Thank you for being such a great market and taking care of customers like you do!
Been going to Illetschkos since I moved to SSP in 2007, dont live in SSP anymore but still drive there since all our meat comes from Illetschkos... My Daugher was raised on their hot dogs, she wont eat any other hot dogs from anywhere else. She now enjoys their steaks and hamburgers... The best is the many different brats they make, they even make custom brats Green Chile brats for me .. And their Double Smoked Applewood Bacon is Amazing... Make the drive here, support local...
I got a couple steaks, some smoked meat and cheese sticks and a tub of ice cream yesterday and everything was incredible! I hidden gem for sure. Will be back often!
Wow! Great sticks and great jerky! Hidden Gem Very Clean and Stocked with variety of meats. I could smell the smoker from the outside of the building!
Awesome service and great meat's! Their beef sticks are a must for long trips or just a nice snack to have at home and the prices are fair!
