Hometown Meats

We ordered meat & cheese trays for a grad party today. Hometown Meats crushed it. The meat & cheese options were a huge hit. Everyone loved the choices & the quality of the meat & cheese. I would give 10 stars if Google let me! We will definitely order from Hometown Meats again!!!

Hometown Meats has an excellent choices of fresh meats, deli salads, and the very best beef sticks! Go, what’s stopping you? Oh the parking lot? Forget about it, the construction is almost over! The employees are very professional and willing to assist in your decision making. From deli sandwiches made just for you to ready to bake pizza you can’t go wrong!! Trust me, give them a try!

Awesome place. The meat is always of the best quality Excellent place to stop by and grab sandwich. Which are named after local streets. Let not forget the pre cooked ribs on Saturdays. Their meat and cheese platters are something I have been purchasing for all the holidays with family. Get your orders in early. The team their are all very pleasant to work with.

Rude staff seemed like they couldn’t wait to get home. Communicate more efficiently and don’t sass at a customer for walking through an unlocked door “after close”. For what it’s worth the normal hours are til 7pm and this wasn’t posted on the door. I want to adjust this to a five star review because for the past year or two I have come in here a few times each month and whomever they had on staff previously must have been seasonal or temporary because I’ve had nothing but very polite and professional interactions. Quality meats too, and the pricing is still great. 2nd update: These guys are still great, here several times a month!

I do not shop there anymore. They make it sound as if they are doing you a huge favor when you ask them to slice bacon for you. They were happy to do it when I was a new customer, not anymore though. I have become a nuisance to them.

The most delicious meats and concoctions. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. One of my favorite things I've found since moving to Inver Grove Heights.

A great local Meat Market with awesome service! Go here if you're looking for quality, not necessarily the cheapest price. Super friendly people and a nice selection of things you won't find everywhere. Specifically I really like their meat sticks. Also, if you're Scandinavian and looking for a great place to find some of the best pickled herring around, these guys have you covered. Highly recommend them!

So, this was my first time visiting this establishment. I wanted a prime rib. I've never cooked one and decided going to a butcher would be best. The staff were very friendly and I immediately felt welcome. After making my order, I looked around and was quite pleased at what I saw in the displays. They have a great variety of beef sticks. So, I will go back for those. The prime rib was fabulous. Extremely tender. I am very happy and will definitely be back!

I can not express the mind blowing quality of Hometown meats , I have eaten pork bbq , everything bbq , all over the United States for over 40 yrs. I can throw down on some myself that will have you coming back for more, but this fine little don’t blink or you’ll miss place is a whole other experience, they have a huge variety of fresh premium cut meats, brats , steak , briskets, pork etc , if you want to try something mouth watering delicious just ask for a pulled pork bbq sandwich, it will make you change your religion , the coleslaw is beyond yum for the tum , sweet and creamy and better than anything I’ve ever experienced. The service is friendly and informative , worth a tip every time. Great Quality meats. For our family it is a little pricey but really worth the extra. Beef sticks are excellent and the lunch meat is quality Boar's Head meats. I love their breakfast sausages. Been going there weekly for about 6mo + and have never had a bad experience. My only critique would be that some weeks it feels like their seasoning is not as strong as other times.

Intoxicating smell when you walk in. You immediately start day-dreaming about epic grilling, and every inch of this shop is stacked with possibilities. Probably the absolute best pork available and they have it in every cut. The pork chops are the absolute best. Same should be said of their other meat as well. Absolute top quality, and generous cuts are the standard here. The sandwiches, beef sticks, and crowd pleasing handmade frozen pizzas are all worth stopping in for on their own. Never had a bad experience or bad product from here. Highest recommendation.

Wow! My husband and I are meat market conneseurs, and went here today for our first time. We bought a large variety of items from brats to fish to pork, burgers, cheese, etc... We grilled the "80th Street Pork" and fish tonight and we were absolutely blown away! By far the best pork item we've ever had. Also, the coconut and lemon butter fish was out of this world. Even the bacon wrapped asparagus was remarkable! 5+ stars from us! Can't wait to try the rest of our haul. The staff was incredibly friendly as well! We will absolutely be back!

This place is awesome. My kids love the jumbo pickles. I love the smoked eggs and smoked string cheese. The beef sticks are phenomenal and the andouille sausage is the best in the Midwest. Lots of other great things to find as well.

Honestly worth the drive. Hands down some of the BEST food we’ve had.. We bought the stuffed chicken and jalapeño poppers as well as the Spartan beef sticks and not comparable to any others. Absolutely delicious. We will be going back soon for sure!!

Great steaks. We ordered 2 ribeyes and a filet. All were great, the ribeyes were tender, and marbling was great throughout, making for a tender, flavorful bite of awesomeness. With some homemade potato salad and green beans picked fresh from the garden, a summer dinner doesn't get any better!! Going to try the cowboy ribeye next!

Cool place, but a little pricey. You get what you pay for though - except in the case of their potato salad, which appears to be repackaged Mrs. Gerry's potato salad that is marked up a couple bucks. Their beef sticks are the best I've ever had, which is worth the visit by itself. Mouth watering just thinking about them...

Wow! Great service and quality meats consistently. Beef sticks are the best I've had. One of the last great butcher shops around with good vendors. Great hours and worth the drive for sure.
